    You typed way too much.

Floyd dies would have pretty much covered it.

i appreciated your previous post, but no, there's no way in Hell Floyd could beat Gennady other than Gennady being weight drained. Its time to pass the baton.....

Many of the points made in this regard are contradictory though.

Like "going to war". The reason you think that's a factor in beating Pac is because Marquez has shown he can do so with that strategy.

But if going to war is necessary to beat Pac - because Pac goes to war - and Marquez does it better than Pac, then why wasn't that a factor in the Marquez v Floyd fight? Why was Floyd able to neutralise Marquez "going to war", when he's been so effectively better than Pac with that strategy?

Combination punching, as successful as it has been at times for Marquez, is also why he's been downed so many times by Pac.

The notion that Pac somehow takes a punch better than all of the 40 odd fighters who were backed up and stopped in their tracks by Floyd's power is hilarious too. He doesn't throw 20 combination punches and land two either - he throws one or two and lands both crisply.

Key word rehydration clause. If GGG isn't alowed to baloon up to 175, lets say there is 8lb rehydration clause, where he can come in as heavy as 168, Floyd beats him. I like GGG like everybody else, but he really hasn't impressed me. His power has and his ability to cut the ring off, but his subpar defense, lack of jab, are suspect. Again he is the dude right now but he has beat everyonr he was expected to beat. Let him go 12 rounds against a top contender, earn a title, and defend it a couple of times before we crown him next guy to carry the torch. Once he gets by Murray which he should do easily, lets see him beat Lemiux, then well say ok he is that dude.

When you say rehydration clause I'm thinking you mean draining him a bit right?

Because yeah I could see Mayweather beating a drained Golovkin

Still wouldn't put money on it though

I mean we really don't know if Mayweather can deal with the power and thats not really a knock on him

Golovkin is a very hard hitting middleweight and Mayweather is a medium to small sized welter
