If you think Marquez looked poor against Diaz and Katsidis then that's fine, I understand where you're coming from, or if you think that a non-drained Pacquiao is just too good, then I understand that too. But the simple fact of the matter is, there will be no difference in weight on fight night. For the first fight, Pacquiao was still green and predictable. For the second fight, Pacquiao was severely weight drained. For this third fight, both men will be in prime condition when they step on the scales and will be no different to when they step into the ring. There is simply no difference in weight. Maybe there is a difference in quality, I don't know, but to say that Marquez is too small when both he and Pacquiao weighed the exact same in their last bout, with no fat on either of them, is just absurd. There is literally no reason to suggest that Marquez is too small.
Exactly. Which means no matter how fat I got, I would never be as physically imposing or as bulky i.e muscular as Vitali Klitscko. Thanks for making my point for me dumbass. Marquez and Pacquiao can weigh the same on fight night, but Marquez but Pacquiao without a doubt will be the bigger man, i.e far more muscular, and physically imposing. Really simple Jack you are too easy. Unfounded speculation. No proof whatsoever. Nacho Beristain Marquez trainer Certainly reliable. You're pathetic. Tell me you ****ing moron. When has Floyd ever rehydrated to more then what he weighed in at the weigh in? When has Floyd ever weighed above 150lbs for a fight? When has Floyd ever weighed more then 148 for a fight at Welterweight? Because in the differences in physiology you ****ing moron. Mayweather is a bigger man then Marquez. Do you really think that Marquez and Mayweather weighing the same on the scales effects the size difference. Again you ****ing joke, If I put on 30lbs and stood next to Vitali Klitscko, you'd go "oh yeah same size" Again you're a ****ing joke. When has Floyd ever had to fight at a catchweight. :nut Tell me dope. What is more plausible. Floyd Mayweather not feeling comfortable making 144, or Floyd Mayweather, one of the most dedicated boxers ever in boxing history, deciding to rehydrate to 160lbs. 14lbs then what he weighed in the night before. Please, use that tiny brain of yours for once.
yes muscle by muscle it is probably like 140lb PAC - 135lb JMM the rest of the difference is just one burrito + some margaritas.
When talking about weight, that is the definition of size. What do you not understand about this simple statement? Physical dimensions are not the same thing as size. Size is a term used to simplistically describe weight or height of an object. It is nothing - NOTHING - to do with the physical dimensions. When it comes to boxing, the whole reason there are weight divisions is because weight IS size. Fighters aren't judged by their physical dimensions but purely by their size. Lets say you were 160lbs, you would then be, by boxing rules, the same SIZE to fight Martinez. This idea that weight and size aren't the same thing is ludicrous. Every boxing organization defines size by whatever weight a fighter is. Seriously, please read a dictionary to find out the true definition. You look idiotic. Please quote me saying it was absolute fact he was 160lbs. Go on. Did I say that or did I say it was rumoured? You asked me to back up my rumours and I gave you two, Beristain and Marquez. I didn't say it was fact. You asked me to back up what I said, whch was that it was rumoured, and I did. I just answered that question. Maybe if you could read, you'd also be able to look in a dictionary and find the definition of what "size" is. You tell me whenever Floyd has ever failed to make weight. Tell me when he has refused to be weighed on fight night. You just said there that Mayweather is the bigger man than Marquez. Earlier you said Marquez looked like a toddler next to him, so do you really think that's because of 2lbs difference or do you think Mayweather was bigger than in previous fights? Look at Mayweather now. People see pictures and he looks a lot bigger than he ever previously did. A lot bigger. And, yes, if you were 30lbs heavier and someone asked me, in relation to weight not height, if you two were the same size, you would be the same ****ing size.
Do you think Marquez has 10lbs of fat in this picture? This content is protected Marquez is a muscular and ripped 145lbs.
Nobody considers weight to mean size of an object you do realize that dont you? I mean you do know what mass is? You do know that increasing your weight does not mean you have increased your size dont you? The definition of "size" The word size may refer to how big something is. In particular: Measurement Dimensions: length, width, height, diameter, perimeter, area, volume Body dimensions (Anthropometry) Human height Human weight Nowhere is size soley defined by weight. Seriously I cant believe you are struggling with this. Oh god wo. See above. Completely OWNED ******. Nice attempt to divert from the point. When has Floyd ever been asked to fight at a catchweight? Mayweather has been bigger in previous fights of course. Mayweather is the bigger man always has been. Doesnt matter if Marquez gained 10lbs on fight night instead of 4, the size difference would still be evident. Duh moron. He looked how he looked when he fought Oscar, where he weighed 150lbs This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected Again moron, name one time where Mayweather came in more then a lb or 2 above his weigh in prior to the fight. I'll wait.
So saying "size may refer to how big something is" is nothing related to weight? What the ****? Are you an idiot or are you just trying to troll? Your quote even says "human weight" you ****ing idiot. Size isn't solely defined by weight, no, but I've said numerous times that is isn't. However, when talking about boxers, size is weight. I don't understand how it's possible to not grasp this.
I said size included multiple dimensions. You said size was defined by weight and not dimensions. We're done here Jackie. I win again.
And what are we talking about? Boxing where weight is the ONLY thing considered. Dimensions aren't. We have weight divisions not 'dimension divisions' for fat, skinny and muscular fighters. It's just a ridiculous argument from you. An utterly pointless, uneducated one. Pacquiao at 145lbs: This content is protected This content is protected Marquez at 145lbs: This content is protected This content is protected There's no difference between them. We aren't talking about one guy who is clearly fat at the weight. Marquez, when training properly, is a very fit 145lbs.
Anybody knows that has half a brain that the reason Floyd stopped agreeing to weigh on the night of the fight and the reason he could'nt make 144 is that he is heavier and larger now than when he used to walk in the ring at 148-149. Pac and JMM are almost exactly the same size in shape. Some know that Manny has far surpassed JMM and want manny to drain down some but they are the same size as JMM and Nacho will tell you. Manny was a zombie when he was on the scale last fight and still won the fight. This fight JMM wont be so lucky.
Yeah, I think Mayweather is significantly bigger now than he was before these retirements. Age is starting to catch up with him but apart from that, he's more muscular now. There's a reason he couldn't make the catchweight and there's a reason he didn't, for the first time, allow his weight to be taken on fight night. He was well over 150lbs. Marquez, who would be able to tell the difference, said Mayweather had 15lbs weight on him. I think that's roughly right. Considering Marquez was 148lbs, Mayweather was easily over 155lbs. The problem for Marquez against Mayweather, was that he neglected speed training in order to weigh 148lbs. He doesn't need to do that and won't against Pacquiao.
size in boxing is nothing more than weight. if you include height, dimensions, ratio or anything else, it would complicate the size (weight) measurement and they would be computing different numbers.
Juan Diaz on moving up weight regarding JMM: I agree with him completely, but how does this apply to Pac who will come into the fight 148?
Exactly. There are no divisions for guys who are flabby, muscular or skinny. There are no divisions for guys who are tall or short. Weight is size in boxing, nothing more.
True. When you're fighting a bigger guy, it will have an affect because your strength isn't as much of an advantage. When you add too much muscle, like Marquez did against Mayweather, speed is sacrificed but against Pacquiao it won't be. There is no bigger man in this fight.
