He Fought The Wrong Fight. He Got Dragged Into A War. He Could Of Easil Boxed To A Unaminous Decision We Would Not Have Had Such A Great Fight If He Had Of Been More Diciplined
If he ran the last round he would have won. But he didn't run and I don't even think he was capable of running. He looked like he couldn't even stand anymore but he kept surviving. Vazquez did everything he could do stop Marquez in the 12th and he won the fight because of it. Unreal.. every second of that fight was exciting.
i dont think he could have easily boxed, vazquez was amazing and kept coming forward....if marquez had boxed vazquez would have knocked em out soon
Marquez did everything he can to make it a boxing match. Its easy to say that sitting on the sofa that he could have easily outbox Vasquez. Vasquez kept on applying pressure and has a hell of a punch for that weight class. You are underestimating Vasquez.
Much like Frietas against Corrales, I just don't think Marquez has the legs to outbox Vasquez for 12 rounds.
Vasquez went to the body early and hard and it payed off in the latter rounds when Marquez was unabe to be as light on his feet
marquez ran out of gas in the championship rounds probably because of varquez's effective body punching culminating in that KD in the 12th. that's why he lost the fight.
some good points but if you watch the fight marquez was looking for the bomb too much and standing in front of vasquez. i said during the live round by round that vasquez is going to catch up with him and he did. it was nearly like chavez taylor
He couldn't run if he wanted to Vasquez is great at cutting off the ring and would have eventually got to Marquez.
Wooo Vazquez....too bad I only betted 100vcash on this mofo. Damn good fighter Vazquez is. Marquez lost no excuses please!
you have got to give full credit to vasquez. he took some great punches from marquez and kept coming. i just feel that marquez would of had his number if he had of boxed more BUT IT WOULD NOT OF BEEN THE CLASSIC WE WANTED
Again . . . it supported the old theory . . . that "when the tough gets going . . . and the going gets tough" . . . fight plans goes out of the window and the fighter goes for his instincts.
Vazquez showed great stamina all 12 rounds, but that 12th round was more meaningful because he owned Marquez like in no other round of the entire trilogy.
He won most of the fight and the point deduction, the knockdown in the 12th, and the beating he took solidified the victory for Vasquez. I think that Marquez controled the fight and there were some toss up rounds. I can't complain, no one's career was effected
