Pacquiao, Marquez, and Gayweather has similiar body frames. Gayweather is a bit bigger than the two of them because he is about 2 inches taller than them. I mean when Floyd fought Oscar at 154 he only weigh 150 during the fight night (correct me if I'm wrong). Floyd can still make it to 140 but he is a coward so he wants to fight JMM above 140. Pacquiao body is much muscular than Marquez but their body size is about the same and if you haven't notice when Pac and JMM fought, Pac's weight was 144 during the fight night and JMM was at 141 or 142. There is a little difference.

i am not too sure if your convinced of this statement. are you implying that floyd is not a natural welter. he has been fighting at that weight for how many years already.

commensurate for his height and age. as his body matured, this weight was truly ideal for him in my opinion. in fact 147-154 range.

I don't think Marquez who had nestled in the featherweight class for too long a time could suddenly jump two weights higher and fight at Floyd's comfort zone at l47 without sacrificing his speed and power. This is like Rafa or Izzy Vasquez fighting Pac/Marquez at l35. This fight is a blatant mismatch and not good for the sport.

Two inches difference in a body frame is too much to bulk up, if you know what I mean. This difference will also translate to longer neck, longer arms, and legs. Physically, Floyd is bigger and bulkier than the two.

So every boxer can move up the weights and retain their speed and power? this is a normal thing in your opinion?

In my opinion it's very very unusual to move up the weights without losing speed or power. Very unusual.

Just because Manny Pacquiao did it it doesn't mean everyone can.

Marquez's face shows the signs of a true mexican warrior. He is 37 years old and moving up a stone in weight from a weight class he shouldn't be in. This is the RIPEST cherry I have ever seen picked in my entire life. I feel sorry for Marquez in a way - always taking the smaller share of the money and always bringing the most skill and biggest heart.

No, this guy is right. The Pacman is a freak of nature. It's not normal to go up and down like Pac does.

Pffft, you have no ****ing idea what JMM's optimal weight is nor do you have a clue how well Marquez will keep his speed when jumping up in weight.. all you're doing is talking trash you ignorant ****.

Listen here, dumb****! If you put Floyd in Diaz's place at that fight during those early rounds when Marquez got hit w/ Diaz pillow punches, Marquez would not have lasted 3 rounds. Imagine him fighting Floyd in l47.

if he comes in at this weight range, jmm could be very slow and sluggish during the fight vs. mayweather. jmm weighed 140 during his most recent fight. it's not good to gain that much fighting weight in his very next fight without any consequences. jmm should come in at around 143 max so he can still retain his speed, movement, and sharpness. floyd will probably come in at 147-148 so a 4-5 lb. weight difference is not that much to give away. what is more impt. is that jmm's speed, movement, reflexes and sharpness are still there to match w/ mayweather's.
