    What fight had the better 1st round, and what fight was over all the most action packed? Vote 2 times.



    Both Fighters down in the 1st Round

    I think Concepcionmarquez was a little more competitive after the KD's as were Angulo got a nice KD on KIRK, but after that just got a pretty good beatdown with him ocassionally hitting KIRK.

    FOTY tend to favor, competitive fights with drama, not just a beat down.

    I chose concepcion Marquez,


    I really wish Angulo would have put more rounds then 1 in a year and trained the same way KIRK did and we would have been treated to a much more competitive fight.

    Round 1 of Angulo-Kirkland is Round of the Year, no doubt about it.


    As for the fight itself, i would say Marquez-Concepcion was a tad better.

    So you're saying Not ONE of these come even close to the Round 1 Angulo-Kirkland? Not even close?

    I specially like Round 1 of Antillon-Rios, and Round 11 of Linares-DeMarco. No KDs but damn great rounds.

    I might of exaggerated when i say none come close, but i do think that first round was the ROTY. All those other rounds you posted are great rounds as well, and i would have no problem with anyone calling them ROTY.

    ROTY has to go to AA V JK . . . this match-up was highly anticipated for years which separates it from the pack. I got goosebumps just thinking about this fight and in the first round I felt like a kid during Xmas. I think it was the best round of boxing I have seen since Corallas v Castillo (mouth piece gate).

    AA v JK is not the FOTY. Kirkland administered a Beatdown after the first half of the first round. I was so disappointed in AA after the first round, I thought if kirkland could weather the storm he had a great chance to beat perro, but that was sad and got kinda scary. AA's corner should have threw in the towel a lot earlier

    I wish I saw it like you, I liked the first 30 seconds very very much, then after the first kd, I was praying for Kirkland to hold on so the fight can last a little longer, then came the two minute mark, and Kirkland came back and from there he just gave a beating to Angulo, had it been a little more close, I'd say it would be no doubt ROTY, same with Castillo-Corrales, one was dominating nearly the entire round, Thats not ROTY for me, I like back and forth action through out the whole round.

    Between the part where Angulo was dominating and part where Kirkland starting coming back was also great, back and forth action, I don't know why but I feel it could have been better, I felt a little disappointed that Angulo was almost out, and terribly hurt at the end, not because I was rooting for Angulo, but because I wanted to see a strong finish to the round from both fighters, guess I'm just asking for too much:conf, also the fact that these 2 are very known fighters kinda overrates the whole fight, I've heard many people call it FOTY, not even close imo.

    If Kirkland vs Angulo 1st round isnt round of the year, boxing is a joke.
