Just saw over on Fight News that a clash between JMM and Cotto is being considered for early 2015. If this is true, I hope Marquez beats the snot out of Cotto.

    This fight is a J O K E...

I assume this will be after Cotto vacates his title then. WBC said he has to fight winner of Rubio-GGG next.

I got $20 that says no way in hell does the WBC enforce a mandatory of its 160lb title as long as Alvarez is an option for Cotto.

Marquez desperate for one last good retirement check without having to fight Pac if all this is true. He's not gonna get the kind of numbers he's expecting unless he has Cotto come all the way down to 147, though.

Desperate? If he were desperate for money wouldn't he have fought pac? Are you going to use the "he is scared" consider they fought 4 times.

There are other good money fights for jmm and they all don't involve pacquiao. He is about to retire it's better to see how he lines up against other good fighters.

Not sure why that word desperate gets you all worked up. He is at the end of his career (should be retired already imo) He knows there are no guaranteed victories out there for the level he has to fight at, at his age and condition, So he wants to use his name and to get another big name, and get the biggest money he can...absolutely nothing wrong with that kind of desperation, he can do whatever he wants strictly for money, he's earned it. And yes he could fight Pac, but I find it funny that he denies him, he is still leaving Manny flat on his face with that...

Huh, just looked up desperation, I never knew it carried such a negative connotation to it like "hopelessness" I always thought it just meant something along the lines of "extreme want" You're right, bad choice of word.

If floyd made jmm jump two divisions, why not this fight? They could meet @152.
