i think marquez is alot more dangeous than maidana. JMM wud after a few rounds start timing khan comin in and catch him with an uppercut and game over. madaina wont get close to khan. he'll box him at range for the first 8 then look to take him out IMO

People said **** like this leading up to Mayweather vs JMM..

Fact is, JMM cannot handle speed...JMM cannot handle a fighter who can applie speed with slickness.

And dont bring up Manny Pac......Pacman throws punches and half the time he dosent have a clue where there going...!

Amir Khan will beat down JMM badly and end his career...

Mayweather didnt even get out of first gear against him..!

JMM is being seriously underrated since his loss to PBF.

It would be a shame if Diaz sticks around and starts losing to guys like Khan. Juan is a fantastic fighter and a great warrior to boot but he is just far too small for 140lbs. He would probably make super feather no probs.

Do you get the impression that they are delaying the Maidana fight in the hope that he loses in the mean time, and the fight therefore doesn't have to happen?

This is the fight I want to see. JMM is still a great great fighter and although not big enough for light welter he can still probably beat any of the current champions. Khan is a real warrior for even mentioning this fight. Hopefully he takes it instead of hypoe jobs like Maidana or the non punching Malinfaggi.

Khan should win UD but it could be a classic.

Wonder how hard it will be to make though. I would like to see him finish off Hatton first and I guess Malinfaggi and Maidana are not too bad time filler for fights for someone with Khans godly ability.

Hopefully you will still be laughing when Khan has finished beating up every champion and contender at 140 and any body with the bottle to step up from 135. Only Mayweather and Pac can beat him at 140. In a few years time Britain will be able to claim the p4p number 1 champion and British fans will shadow in the glory of our greatest ever boxer. We have a young amazing fighter capable of achieving more than any other fighter we have ever had...Khan will not sit around beating nobodies for a worthless WBO belt for 10 years like Calzaghe and he will not spend his time with a WBU belt and only beating ordinary fighters like Hatton. Khan will be a genuine multi weight champion.

I think Khan's team should seriously consider taking the Maidana fight now. Although not a huge name, he's still got enough to hype the fight right to make it a worthwhile and dangerous opponent for Khan.

It will gain him some credibility in the States (and make him a virtual god in the UK media, because no doubt they'll make Maidana out to be some beast with the power of Tyson, Jackson, McClellan all rolled into one...), as well as getting the mandatory out of the way.
Maidana is very, very beatable in my opinion and not anywhere near as good as some hype him up to be. Yes, he has a killer punch which is a huge danger to someone like Khan, but I think Khan will be able to easily outbox him, maybe even stop him.

And if Khan-Maidana is put on the backburner for now, I think there's a good chance Maidana will get beat in the interim.
Take the fight now, and get the victory over such a perceived danger man, and it will do loads for Khan's credibility and status when negotiating further, bigger fights.

Of course, it's still a big risk because we all know exactly what Maidana would do to Khan if he lands one of his bombs, but I think it's a gamble worth taking as I believe Khan's speed/skill will be the stronger element in this fight.

What is this JMM is crap at 140 anf above crap...he was **** against floyd, who stylisticly was a bad match and was also the best fighter in the world, plus he weighed in at 144...

He has never fought at 140...

I'd like to see Marquez-Hatton at 140 personally. A big fight with two big names plus lets see how good Marquez is at 140.
