he looked like an old 36.. too slow and too heavy for his size. It seems like marquez and also his camp never believed that he can beat mayweather in the first place. Everytime mayweather smiles at him marquez seems to doubt himself even more.

that won't be the case if pac fights him... can't wait for that.

I think it was more to do with the Jump in weight.

He wasnt as fast because of it. I mean he jumped from Lightweight to probably Welter.

Its just slowed him. He will still beat guys at 135.

Hard to pull the trigger when your opponent has a faster draw

i don't think that pulling the trigger was his problem yesterday, but more along the lines of he was facing someone bigger and better in most ways (except heart). in my opinion it was floyd's unquestionable speed and defence which made it difficult for marquez to assert himself, that and the superior size of mayweather.

From the first round, JMM knew his punch could not hurt Floyd. He just stayed there to counter and survive. I did not see the fiery in JMM's eyes, all I saw was doubt.

Dont you remember the look of no hope Pac had everytime Morales mocked his hands in the air im okay routine in there 1st fight? Priceless. :good

Eitherway Pac vs Pbf = No chance....Hes to small and is to predictable. :good

Pbf would only K.O him with the style he has....Pac struggles with counter punchers and Floyd is a master at it.....No to mention Cotto will eliminate all the Pbf/Pac talks.

From this point forward Floyd has no options but to only fight in his own weight class......People are really gonna start coming down hard on him if he doesn't....Boxing fans aren't fooled by the cherry picking anymore and last nights interviews said it all.

Pbf vs Mosley right away to get respect if not Pbf vs Calderon to get an easy pay check.....I really want to see Pbf vs Mosley,Williams,Cotto,Berto in that order. :good

Well said. In order to beat Floyd you need speed stamina and workrate and a chin because you will get countered. Nobody has ever had a comination of all of the above. I think Molsey has the best shot because he does have all those things I mentioned.

I think this fight may have killed the demand for a Manny vs. Floyd fight. Like Mayweather and the HBO crew were saying, Floyd shutout and raped the man Manny went life and death twice with. If JMM wasn't so good technically this fight would have been a lot shorter. Manny would have gotten KO'd last night by Floyd in under 8.

The good thing is Manny is going to lose to Cotto and kill the super fight talk with Floyd.

I said it from the get-go. Pacquiao gets beat even more decisively because he's more open than Marquez is. We all want to see Shane Mosley fight Mayweather. Both very fast, operating around the same weight range, and Mosley showed his power in his last two outtings. Let's get it on.

So you think Marquez "got old overnight?"

Marquez knew the weight was too much after Floyd pulled that move at weigh in.

Everyone says that 2 lbs makes no difference but it does if you are making weight.

No, he was beaten by the bigger and better fighter.
