JMM came into the fight at 148. I guarantee you Floyd didn't put on more than 2 to 3 pounds fight night. So most likely they were the same weight or 1 pound difference on fight night. So the bigger excuse is really pathetic.

I guarantee you that Floyd weighed a lot more than his weight at the weigh-in. How would you explain the non-disclosure of Floyd's weight on fight night? He is usually open to disclosing his fighting weight but not this time around. You don't smell something fishy there?

No, your post is really pathetic. A few pounds makes a ton of difference, specially for the smaller man moving up.

Floyd didn't even want to give his unofficial weight, he probably had about 10 pounds over Marquez, who unless you are blind, was obviously the much smaller man in the ring.

No I don't smell anything fishy, I smell Floyd being angry at the weight issue and trying to take it off the table by saying no you are not going to weigh me at all because I don't want to talk about it.

I look at the man's history, he never ballons up after weigh in, at most I could see Mayweather at 150 coming off the layoff and that would still only give him a 2 pound advantage in the ring last night. Now you compare that the the weight disadvatange he was under against Baldomir and Oscar De La Hoya. But people don't like doing that.

Didn't get get old overnight. He's been old at 36. Age finally caught up to him when he made this weight jump. Not saying any version of Marquez would have beaten Floyd. The only version that may have had a chance is if Marquez had all the advantages that Floyd had, size, being in prime, but still Floyd would have been the favorite.

What's pathetic is you trying to pretend size doesn't matter in boxing. If Marquez jumping up two divisions is nothing at the age of 36, lets see Floyd jump to middleweight and fight Pavlik next. Floyd's only 32, should be a piece of cake in comparison.

I can't believe that some of you guys didn't see this coming a mile away. JMM is a great fighter, but with his greatest skillset (counterpunching), he doesn't have the size to implement it onto Mayweather.

A smaller counterpuncher fighting a bigger, faster counterpuncher is never a good match-up.

It's not all about the weight. PBF was clearly naturally the bigger man. Anyone can put on weight to make a weight, but how comfortable are they at the weight? You have to remember PBF weight 146lbs being ripped to say the least while JMM was 142lbs with some excess fat. If PBF had the same amount of bodyfat as JMM he would way over 150lbs easily.

A young Marquez will have ko Mayweather at 130, at 36 and 144 pounds Marquez is a shadow of his greatness, to slow to heavy. Mayweather did nothing he just jab his way to a decision, an smaller, older, slower marquez did good I think he counter the runner sometimes effectively, he landed flush but does not have power at 144. Everybody knows when a fighter go up in weight they tend to lost power and speed even Floydettes know that, going straight from 135 to 144 without a tune up fight was a big mistake nobody knew how and old Marquez will react to change of division.
