It's a fluke win, JMM himself told he might get down anytime soon, his corner is entertaining the idea of throwing the towel.

36 seconds. Same punch that finished Pacquiao. No fluke I'm afraid.

As Roger Mayweather would say, YDKSAB.

A fluke shot that marquez trained specifically for this fight (dropped a sparring partner with the same shot)

It reminded me of how lucky Tyson was when he got lucky against Spinks.
    Real déjà vu.

What about Paul Williams? He was putting heat on Sergio before he got KTFO. Their first fight was a fight of the year candidate or might've actually been FOTY, don't remember. Yet everyone agreed Sergio was too much for Paul after the big KO.

You're fooled by Pac's aggression. People seem to think just because he makes JMM fight on the back foot Pac is dominating the fight. Wrong. Even when he had JMM hurt in the 5th round he missed a ton of shots which is why he couldn't finish Juan. The knockdown scored over JMM was more of him being off balance. Rd 6 seemed like it was dominated by Pac (before the KO) but that's not the case at all. I think people were misled by JMM's facial injuries. Both landed some good shots. JMM landed a body shot that seemed to have hurt or slowed down Pac. Outside of rd 5, no way did Pac ever dominate JMM.

He's letting Arum know that he won't be cheap this time.

    Marquez's opening gambit in negotiations.

This time around, he deserves to have it in Mexico City.

He doesn't have to trade punches with Manny. He can sit in counter mode all day.

Marquez already has proven his point. He's the best and a fight for a 5th time would be for all the mexican fans that have stood by him for his entire career.

In my heart though, I think he

has put the most effort into the last fight so the motivation might not be there..

    4-0 LOL
Pacquiao won the first 2, as good as comeback was in the first fight, it wasn't enough and the judge f***** up, amazing how people ignore that. Second was also 1 point difference - in fairness both could have been a draw but for me Pacquiao edged them. The 3rd was Marquez for me, Pacquiao wasn't active enough.

The 4th was heading for a Marquez battering, he was paying for the KO in the 3rd round, Manny was possessed in round 5 and 6 and Marquez was nearly finished before that vicious KO

For his point of view, would be good for him to retire. But I want to see a rematch. And he'll get offered close to $20m - he won't be able to turn that down

I do not know how tough it would be to earn another ~10 mln $$$
more probably ~20 mln since now he would be in good position for 50/50 split.

give him his 50 split and hell, he's in the driver's seat to command more.

Pac should concede and give him the edge on the split purse. It was Pac who lost. Nevermind who the attraction is.

Let's just say that the bigger purse will offset the small purse he got from the 4th fight.

It would be a beautiful ending to a beautiful career.

Suiting for a king too, this sport eventually catches up to them all, including all our all time legends. Marquez knows this, and should get out while he's ahead, both spiritually and physically.

Can't do nothing but tip my hat off to the warrior. It's been great following his career.
