    Floyd freaks out? :rofl

Umm no. HE allows his opponents to punch themselves out against the ropes, while he rolls all their punches. AS to why Ortiz got frustrated when he couldnt hit Mayweather on the ropes and Mayweather was laughing at him and headbutted him. Floyd has done it his entire career.

You really dont know hwat you're watching.

So if Mayweather fights off the back foot as he did against Oscar, Hatton and Baldomir. Whats Pac going to do to cut off the ring, and ability he has yet to show.

Go in wild throwing punches? You think that'll work against Mayweather?

Sure Pacquiao's chin = Hatton's chin :patsch:lol: Worse that happens is Floyd beats Pacquiao down but his chin's too strong to be stopped by Floyd.

Floyd knows how to apply an educated attack to the body especially against lefties. emmanuel's chin is great, but his body isn't as sturdy in any way, shape, or form.

emmanuel will lunge in and have his own inertia help Floyd TKO him.

The op is thinking too hard when it is not that complicated. Boxing is boxing. JMM always outboxed pac in every single fight. He only got dropped when he decided to go toe to toe. Period. There is no secret JMM mystery. He just boxed patiently. When floyd was asked way back when he the fight was on the table how he would deal with pacs speed and power he simply said "i will just box him". Pac will have less success than pure mauling pressure fighters like Hatton/May or Diaz/Marquez. Those guys specialize in cutting off the ring and walking boxers down. Pac fights in the middle of the ring and is not even physical. He don't push, shove hold and hit to get a boxer off balance. He stands right there and comes in straight ****ing lines and only uses angles if you just stand there in his range. If you step back out of range he resets and stands right in front to lunge again. If he fights Floyd, Floyd can go wherever he wants at any time. Pac punches in angles but he always attacks straight ahead.

Good post OP, well explained and correct. Correct in that Mayweather will not use Marquez' style.

Now I am not a Floyd fan, I can't stand the guys trash-talking! But he has to feel way more confident after Pacquiao's last two performances.

Floyd has stated himself that a lot of his game is mental, and I think that is a key issue that no-one has talked about here.

I think Manny's last two performances will have given Mayweather the mental edge should they fight.

Manny would need to catch Floyd BIG in those first 3 or 4 rounds (which he is capable of doing) to get that mental edge over Mayweather and to have a chance of winning.

There is also a bigger chance that Floyd would tie-up and clinch Manny than ever using the more risky methods of Marquez.

A lot of people are using Hatton as a comparison to Manny and although you can say Pacquiao is superior, I think it is highly possible that Floyd would use the "MMA" technique he applied in that fight when Pac gets too close.

I have Floyd winning on points quite handily.

He wont have to cut off the ring bc Floyd will be right there in front of him, just like he was against Ortiz and every other southpaw he's faced. Floyd never gives constant, lateral movement. If he moves it simply to get out of the way or get to a new position then he stands still. You have to be constantly moving/shifting to throw pacquiao off.

Yeah he freaks out anytime hes hit with a clean shot to the chin, he covers up , runs backward, or goes into a panic. We'ev all seen his fights no need to deny it.

PBF will show Pac what good educated footwork is all about. He won't give Pac **** and he will take away his angles with educated footwork. Pac isnt' a thinking man's fighter he can't match wits with PBF in that department. By the mid rounds Pac will look lost and his face will show the damage from PBFs' right hands. By the late rounds PBF will begin to walk Pac down busting him up and taunting him before Roach has had enough. This fight has one-sided clinic written all over it and has been since it was first ever talked about.
