i don't need to read through all these pages to know that it's wrong.

jmm edged pac twice in my opinion. floyd will destroy pac. it won't even be close.

I guess you don't know anything about styles or the fact that PBF was fighting at 154 and not 147 with 10oz gloves no less??? Cotto applies educated pressure behind a jab and can fight on the inside go to the body with the ability to outmuscle PBF. Pac uses uneducated pressure has no inside game to speak of no jab head hunts can't out muscle PBF and has **** defense. :deal

With his jab. One of the best in the game. That's it, he had no other punch that connected cleanly. So.... :patsch

It just means Floyd will give Pac a worse beating. Floyd is better than Marquez in everyway. The examples you find you can easily find 20 that goes against it. Floyd is hands down the best counter puncher and better defense which all doesn't add up well for Pac. However i will say this, Floyd is declining faster than Pac. He is not active enough and doesn't train as hard as he used to. The longer the fight waits the better chances Pac to pull of upset.

it has nothing to do with speed. cotto throws very precise punches when he's trained properly. he showed floyd something he hadn't seen since castillo....affective controlled/intelligent aggression. pac's aggression is fast...but not very mindful. that speed kills guys with less speed and defense. floyd is probably faster than pac...and very intelligent defensively.

Worst oversimplification regurgitated on this site on a regular basis. People still missing the point of this thread.

    It's getting there.

Its certainly has lost that superfight aura imo!

I dont view this matchup with much anticipation any longer.

Had this fight happened 2 years ago, anticipation wise, it would have been viewed up there with such fights as Ali-Frazier, Duran-Leonard, Leonard-Hagler, Chavez-Taylor, DLH-Trinidad..........

    No longer!
I think most people now view it as a mismatch in Mayweather's favor!

Its to the point now that a victory for Mayweather does'nt do much for his all-time standing!

The fight did show us that Floyd could counter Manny and land quicker harder punches than Marquez. Also showed us that the pitter patter foot steps Manny takes when he runs at his opponent would leave him very very open to counter right hands over the top of Manny's jab.

The Marquez Pac 3 fight showed me that Floyd would be able to land consistent leather on Manny. It also showed me that Floyd would be able to slip a lot of Manny's punches and make him hit air as well-see end of round 9 10 or 11 where Manny chases Marquez and hits nothing but air for about 12 punches.
