it would always be like this. if someone struggled unexpectedly, of course a hyped fight would lose steam. i can understand the prevailing feelings and we are now back to square 1 when a pac-floyd fight used to be a mismatch when pac was in the lower weights. butt he truth is, pac is still the a smaller fighter and the odds just became close because of how the way pac beats more convincingly a floyd common opponent and how pac beat other WW champs.

but this should not be the case if you know how boxing operates. the same guys who thinks marquez is a mismatch for pac currently before the 3rd fight will now be saying that pac stood no chance against floyd.

Mayweather doesn't have the lateral movement to compete with Pacquiao moment-to-moment the way Marquez does. Completely different fighters.

He may beat Pac, but he'll do it in a way we haven't exactly seen yet.

No, sir, you honestly misread my post.

Mayweather has long held the aura of invincibility long before Pacquiao ever came onto the same as an immovable force.

Therefore the question has been, who can pose a threat to Mayweather...who can take his zero and really challenge him? It seemed that Pacquiao is the antithetical equivalent of Mayweather...possessing similar physical qualities, yet polar opposite fighting style.

As I said originally, this night, in my mind, was to show me what kind of a chance Pacquiao really would have against Mayweather. I see him as having less of a chance than ever. Therefore, my anticipation is not as high as it once was because I don't think Mayweather will truly be tested the way I thought he might have been against Pacquiao.

Aside from that...who says I can't have a preference for a certain boxer, or have a disdain for another boxer based on their conduct and character? I'm entitled to my opInion..that doesn't make me a fanboy. I don't let my preference or disdain sway my analytical summarization of the outcome of a fight. I for the most part remain objective when it comes purely boxing analysis.

Nearly everyone was favoring Mayweather anyway. The excuses would have came after Mannys loss to Floyd. Unfortunately El Dinamita got to him first lol
