Round 4

Linares keeping Juarez staring at his jab, and then hooking him unseen around the gloves while circling left. Juarez flurries low on Linares as the latter backs to the ropes, but Linares shimmies and punches his way out. Juarez reaches with the 1-2 but can't pin Linares down with it. Linares waits for Juarez to lead, but Juarez just follows without punching. Juarez walks him into a corner and throws a telegraphed 1-2, which Linares counters. Hard uppercut from Linares. Right hand to the body misses from Juarez. Finally a big hook lands for Juarez as Linares turns a bit more slowly than usual. Linares backs off, and Juarez triple jabs at him. Juarez lands to the body. Linares jabs to the body and then backs off again. Double jab to the face lands for Linares. Juarez shoulders Linares into the ropes and tees off on his body. Linares with a vicious combo off the ropes.

40-36 Linares, but that was Rocky's best round.

 

Round 5

Linares is really sharp tonight, and keeps it rolling in the first moments of the fifth. Juarez is being made to look a bit amateurish in his attempts to head off and trap Linares. Juarez takes a couple of pitty-pat jabs while crouching in front of Linares looking for an opening to the body. Linares double jabs, and then they jab and land simultaneously while Linares is still squared up. Juarez again gets Linares momentarily on the ropes and flaps his fists at the flanks of Linares. Juarez walks Linares to the opposite set of ropes behind a high guard and tries to get inside Linares' chest. Linares is able to grab Juarez and wrestle him away, into range to tee off with crisp power punches. Juarez FLIES across the ring and lands on his butt on a delayed reactoin from a hookercut.
