According to the bad left hook, Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz are on course to fight on HBO on Feb. 28 or in early march.. Both have agreed to fight and the only thing left is the money.. 2009 looks to be on track to a lot of good fights and definitely a good fight for JMM.. While he waits for Pacquiao, he's still fighting the top dogs at 135.. Whoever wins, I'd like to them in a fight with Campbell..
I HOPE this isn't on PPV. This is a good fight. Marquez has to keep fighting because if he sits around waiting for Manny to fight him, he'll be making another mistake in a career full of promotional blunders.
Really think so? I'm expecting Diaz to eat a lot of counter shots.. In other words, bad matchup for Diaz as he's usually just a come-forward fighter, but he'll make this fight somewhat close..
I don't think it will be.. They mentioned nothing about a ppv and are not really big names to the casual boxing fan.. I remember reading somewhere, with the way to economy is right now, the amount of ppv's in a year will drop.. Like this year we go 10 or more ppv's? In 2009, there will probably be only about 6 or 7.. I could be wrong though because they're making the Cotto/Pavlik double header a ppv..
That's nothing but good news IMHO. PPV is too expensive and while I'm sure HBO makes a good profit off of it the days of relying on PPV to keep boxing alive are done.
You can look at everything that happens at 135 now as a way to get into the Pac 2010 Sweepstakes. Great fight. I'll take Marquez.
I like this fight and I think JMM will take this one coz it will be like fighting Pac with less pop.:good
