    Anybody else notice that similarity?

Diaz, an aggressive, powerful fighter bullrushed JMM early on in the fight, upsetting his rhythm and at times causing the legend to back up, get thrown off balance and even shook. Which is what Hatton did to Floyd over the first six rounds of their battle.

Granted, Diaz's good rounds were better than Hatton's.

While I was watching the fight, I started wondering if this would be a replay of Hatton/Tzsu, with the younger more active fighter focing the old pro to fight at a frenetic pace, eventually overwhelming and exhausting the veteran into a late submission. But JMM is just that good.

Like Mayweather, JMM ceded the early rounds to the forward aggression of his opponent by moving backwards and scoring with effective counterpunching. But Mayweather and JMM are highly intelligent fighters. Each studied his opponent during the fight and made mid fight adjustments that capitalized on the mistakes they saw.

Brilliant performance for JMM. I never thought a KO was going to happen to Diaz at lightweight. He seems to get stronger and angrier with every punch he takes. But, like Hatton, his fury was his undoing, exposing him to the genius of a master boxer/puncher.

    Marquez isn't a legend.

His resume before 2007 is ****. We are in 2009.

I dont know where you get this comparison from...but Hatton was no bull. Hatton got beat up. Hatton barely landed anything. Diaz/Marquez was a ****ing war. Diaz brung it and Marquez answered it. As SOON as Diaz slowed his hellish pace JMM began to do what he does. You have to give it to JMM. He changed his fighting style for US..lol. His gameplan is to go for the knockout nowadays. And if you look at his earlier fights he was not this animal he is today. The man is ****ing brilliant.

Before 2007 is was not great but what he did since then has been fantastic. The talent definately exceeds the resmue.

    Whole Carrer...

    Barrera
Pacquiao 2x-Both fights were very close and could have gone either way
    Casamayor
    Diaz
    Juarez
John-he was robbed, I consider that as much of a loss as Whitaker/Chavez is a draw
Norwood-I haven't seen all but heard Marquez could have won this one also.
    Peden
    Gainer

It is not Pacquiao or De La Hoya's resmue but he has fought many solid fighters.
