i think this fight took a lot from both of them. we'll see the results of this in their subsequent fights. that's why pac-diaz @135 is not a no-brainer for me. that's also one of the reasons why i would like jmm to fight another champ either @130 or 135 before another rematch w/ pac happens. they just can't keep on fighting and destroying each other while there are still many other options for both of them.

i just hope that marquez travelled to manila not just for the reason of asking a rematch with pac. he could end up very frustrated in the end. he should take a vacation in the beautiful beaches here like morales did and negotiate for a commercial with san miguel beer.

I'm not Mexican and i think JMM outboxed Pacman in both fights. I had it a draw in the first one and a win for JMM in the 2nd one. Pacman has to get credit for being able to KD JMM but JMM is the superior boxer.

no question that jmm is the superior boxer in terms of skill but this is offset by pac's speed, power and sheer aggression. that's why they're so evenly matched and their fights will always be very close. i'm just afraid that if they keep on fighting each other exclusively, they will eventually destroy each other kinda like in the case of vasquez-rafa or castilllo-corrales and maybe to a lesser extent barrera-erik. that's why i would like for them to fight other champs to further their legacies and extend their careers before facing each other again. fighting each other is definitely hazardous to both their healths and general well-being.

pac acted well. if i was him, i't tell jmm to lace them up and climb the ring after the penalosa-vorapin match. but that's just me

Pac declined a GBP offer of 6 million to fight JMM for a third time, you'd think he'd have honestly laced them up against JMM for free?:D

So you are basically saying that they should fight easy fights. In other words they should take a break and then have a rematch in the future? When? When JMM turns 38 or 40?

Legacies are built by facing the top notch that are out there at their best while you are at your best...period. Pac had a trilogy against Morales....why not again Marquez? He even faced Barrera the second time when everybody knew that Barrera was fighting his last fight and most of the poster on this board knew that it didn't make sense, however and according to Pac fans the fight was just for the money. Is this the kind of fight you are suggesting they shoud go for?

I think if they fight again we will see another close fight, and boxing fans like that.....I personally do... but I think you are afraid.

I had Pac winning it by 1pt.
I also had Barrera beating JMM but thats the way it goes! JMM should get over it and move on.
Manny is a very humble and civil fella!

Legacies make you brain-damaged. History would tell you that. there are examples where fighters who are evenly matched kept on fighting so that the fans can finally say that the other is better than the other faighter and ending up being more damaged. Example muhammad ali after the thrilla in Manila.

Name any modern fighter in history who had trilogies back to back and a rematch against fighters considered the top, P4Per and sure HOFer and I can say it is only Pac. Not even Floyd could boast that.

A third fight between JMM and Pac would not give us anything. Maybe JMM would win but it would not be a dominating, one sided beating. One point or two would be just the difference.

Just as we already know the outcome of MAB-Pac rematch, as well as the Morales-Pac 3 eve before the fight. Only those that were fanatics could see those fights as competitve.

I am only a boxing fan and it is not I who goes up that ring to fight and so I would not mind them having a third fight. But as I have said, there is nothing in the results that would surprise me. Maybe, I would just add to the tally the number of times I saw JMM's butt on the ring.

So why did they fight the second time? Wasn't because there were some unfinished business?

Lets send an email to both of them and tell them to retire....however if they want to continue fighting then we can tell them to fight tomato cans only, because it would be too dangerous to fight somebody who "we as fans" might think could cause some problems to their health/life....and while we are at it lets send a copy to all the rest of boxers who fight in every single division.

By the way, Pac never had any war.....All what I hear is that he kicked asses.
