You've never been impressed by Floyd's vicious ferocity and bonecrushing power? :admin

I'm actually surprised Floyd budged on weight at all.
The ring rust and inactivity will definitely go towards Marquez but the size may just be too much for Marquez.
    Wanna see it either way
This would set up a huge fight with the winner fighting pac/hatton

This makes no sense even if it takes place and becomes an epic. Bottom line is if Mayweather is to return from retirement, shouldn't he defend his weltweight status against the likes of Shane Mosley or his P4P status against Manny Pacquiao... Just if Floyd has a different perspective on who's the best fighter around and P4P but then he might look to fight Bernard Hopkins at 170 or wouldn't he? Makes no sense...

Floyd would use this fight to set up a megafight with Manny Pacquiao, it's not as if he's going to fight JMM and then retire again.

I wouldn't bet my bank account on it but as long as he finds his perfect muscle weight and reflexes going up and down just to set up such fights, it's okay with me. Remember JMM is not just a tune-up, Marquez is a LW Champ and he's tested with some huge opposition... Still, Mayweather knows what he's doing and I find him ready to go against the best of em.

Ideally i would have liked to see Floyd vs Cotto or Mosley, but this match up is pretty good, i see Marquez giving Floyd a pretty good fight.

so do i. It will be a really cautious fight until someone decides to open up and then it'll get interesting.

Thats alot of skill in the ring at 1 time so i don't see why the hardcore fans wouldn't like it

jmm would be foolish not to take this fight at 145 if the report is true and floyd has conceded a couple of pounds. this is not only a huge payday for jmm which he deserves but could make him the sport's biggest star if he edged floyd out.

we don't know if its a huge payday for Marquez until we see what the split is.

as long as Richard Schaefer is negotiating for jmm's part, this sure would be a huge payday for jmm and could get a minimum $3M in this fight. even at an 80-20 split on floyd's part, jmm would get a cool $4M with floyd getting something like $16M if GBP is willing to shell out $20M.
