One thing i noticed while watchng jmm fights is he has been freezing up when getting hit more lately, something that often happens to fighters when they get old, he equilibrium is much easier to damage now, but his recuperative powers and will is tremendous

in every fight when he gets hit the punch stun him for a split second, longer then the used to before he recovers

I think that's total BS. Every time Diaz hits him he fires back immediatly or moves with only one or two exceptions.

diaz is a weak puncher and marquez look unsteady through the bout, Derek gainer was a huge puncher, and Marquez just looked at him without any effect, the kds in pac 2 and barrera aswell as being stuned diaz, where different then the kds in the first pac fight, because he eqalibrium isnt the same in his mid thrites

...Marquez was in with a rushing pressure fighter who was bigger than him. His balance was nothing less than outstanding in these circumstances, he was consistantly set to punch. So much in fact that he stopped Diaz with consistent hard punching.

He didn't freeze up at all. Also. Gainer was 39-5 (24 ko's) at the time. That is not the knockout percentage of a huge puncher.
