    So says fightnews.

I like Marquez, he seems like a good guy...but i feel he has been past his prime for a good while...DO NOT TAKE THE FIGHT WITH ABRAHAM.

    He might get seriously injured...

Marquez looked good against that kid he fought tonight. I thought he won by a significantly wider margin than the judges had it. That he could do that well against someone ten years younger indicates he has enough left to hang, if not beat, the big boys.

All that said, I think Abraham beats him by wide UD, if not a late TKO.

He took a lot of shots. Replace Lorenzo with Abraham and imagine the carnage. I don't like it.

I like Marquez a lot, I was really rooting for him to pull it off tonight. He's one of the most articulate fighters around. But I think that he'll take a scary beating against Abraham and get stopped before the sixth.

Lorenzo isn't in Abraham's league. King Arthur will KO Marquez when they fight.

Marquez is a class act, with a lot of heart, but he has never been a world class fighter. Whenever he steps up, he gets stopped. The win tonite just shows how overprotected Lorenzo was. I do not want to see him get KO'd by AA.

Like I said in the other thread, he should forget about the IBF title, and look at avenging his losses to Taylor and Yory Boy (and Nando if the guy goes broke anytime soon and comes crawling back to the sport) :yep.

    Abraham TKO3 Marquez

Clearly Marquez will be a tune-up fight before the Pavlik fight while Pavlik fights Rubio..

Is that what a pimp does when his woman misbehaves or is that what a hooker does to a john that won't pay?:?

Chased a dream to long to not try. I'm sure that is how he sees it.

AA was already 'late' with Lorenzo. That is why Lorenzo was on the card. A 'step aside' fee. He has to defend his title next I think.

Taylor and Campas are winnable fights and would look very sweet on his resume on the heels of a win over an undefeated prospect (even a very shot Campas carries some legacy name-value). If I were in his camp I'd point him in the direction of the attainable glory rather than a kamikaze mission. :nod

You think they doubt their guy any more than P2K doubted his? I don't see any way he is competetive with JT at all.
