Hopefully he fights Valero at 135 where he is better suited. Marquez will still look slow and bloated at 140lbs I think.

Khan-JMM makes sense for both guys. Both sides I would think would support this matchup.

I have a hunch however that Malignaggi will end up winning the Khan sweepstakes when it's all said and done.

You're certainly right about the logic of the matchup. Marquez has not ever ducked anyone to my knowledge. Then again, throughout most of his career he was not in a position to engage in the practice. Part of the reason, though, that he went for Mayweather was the unprecedented purse he would get from the fight. The money he can get from fighting Hatton is probably slightly favorable to Bradley (when you factor in Hatton's much higher purse split percentage) and the matchup is much more winnable. Given those factors, I think he'll likely put aside his hope of claiming Bradley's 140 lbs. strap.

Khan also has a strap and Marquez has been keen on being the only Mexican to be a 4 division champion.

    The most likeliest scenario.

It will probably happen sooner or later.

Roach has said that the Malignaggi fight makes a lot of sense for Khan's US debut which I tend to agree with considering Paulie lack of punching power.

I think the most important question, regarding a hatton-marquez fight is.. Can Hatton get from this:

    To this:

And be fighting fit in 4 months. I'm guessing he is even bigger after the xmas/new year period.

Don't think it will be Khan. See Roach and Co. opting for Malignaggi. Nice introduction to fighting in the States and not a real KO threat.

Malignaggi boxed well yeah, got caught with a few clean shots though. Diaz doesn't have a great KO record so if Khan lands some good shots i see him winning it. Paulie has a pretty good beard so i would guess a UD for Khan if he uses his slight reach/height advantage and speed well.

Probably because he is a superior boxer to about 99.9% of the fighters out right now, an excellent counter-puncher, and still relevent, even at his age. All of that adds up to being a dangerous opponent to any boxer he faces, in an even fight (even as in weight...Mayweather...), and could be damaging to someone's ''bright future'' if he was to come out on top. It's a tough match-up for most fighters, not a walk in the park, like some of you seem to think.

Bradley would be a very tough fight for Marquez, but since he's known as a ''warrior'' who doesn't duck anyone...he doesn't seem to be able to go after the ''softer'' champions, like other ''elite'' fighters have recently, just to get a belt.

    Sad, but true.
