Marquez came in OLDER, SHORTER, LIGHTER, SHORTER ARMS, against an opponent who didn't even make weight. What's the point of having a weight if it's shunned with a little cash.

The commentators gave JMM little props for out working Floyd and lasting all 12 rds. About the only thing not against Marquez was the crowd. HBO commentators were completely biased. Marquez fought til the end, gave us our moneys worth and did pretty good against all odds.

Fights have been canceled cause a guy couldn't make weight. "Money" Mayweather solved that problem with a little dough. If you believe CompuBox, you're a novice fan. Floyd did land more but it was not as one-sided as HBO made it seem.

Floyd won, but had a handfull against a guy that fought through getting dropped early on. Fought against all odds and sis a good job

Some nights, fighters aren't there to fight. Like Margarito against Moseley, DLH vs. Pac, etc. JMM fought his ass off in a fight he never should have won and has balls for signing up for! Hats off to JMM.

    All props to JMM.

He should stay at 135 where he belongs, or better yet, he could hang them up and still has his head held high.

Marquez showed what an amazing fighter he is. He did surprisingly well all things considered, even if it was a wash.

Outworking, meaning he threw more punches. Not OUT-LANDING! Get it

Agree with the people here, props to Marquez, took on a real challenge with everything going against him. Takes a lot of guts to agree to the fight and a lot of heart to last 12 with Floyd.

JMM is my second favorite fighter, but he did not hold his own. He lost badly to a better fighter.

I think all of this outclassed business is uncalled for. Marquez held his own, landed the odd flush right hand, and always threw hard whenever he came under attack. Floyd was in a fight for those 12 rounds, and I favored this to end by late stoppage. It's a testament to Marquez's warrior mentality that he never wilted, and he did his country proud tonight.

Still the best at 135. Though I don't know what fights are left for him there.

He got beat because of lack of reach, height and age; as expected until the hype.
As Maxium said, a good short fighter loses to a good big fighter or the big fighter was not any good.

Maybe its you that doesn't get it

To be labelled "out working an opponent" you need a level of accuracy and effectiveness.....not throwing low percentage shots that fall short of the mark :deal

Again credit to Marq....hes tough :good
