is it unreasonable for pacquiao to fight at 154? Before he fought at 140 and 147 it was unreasonable, and he had no chance, against a faded and weight drained oscar before the fight, but after that it was accepted he fought at 147, so why cant the Pinoy hero fight at 154 i ask?

He's a great but aging lightweight (Kadsidis dropped him) but still he is the best lightweight, bar possibly guerrero.

Martinez said he would move up and possibly fight, winner of super 6 or bute, but neither is No.1 p4p. he has said he would get as low as he could which is 154?! I think he has earned the right to fight the p4p numero uno. If Pac beats him you cant really dispute hes top 3 p4p ever, He's prob top 20 atm.

Boxingfans have very short-term memory, before the mosley fight the most favoured pac opponents were berto and Marquez, Berto lost now Marquez should be number 1 in line, yet everybody hates on it.
Lets make a list of possible opponents:
- Mayweather: the reason for a lot of hatred on pac vs jmm 3, Floyd doesnt want to fight pacquiao, just accept it.
- Ortiz defeated berto, would be a unification match for the ring title.
But he is a gbp fighter, toprank currently doesnt deal with gbp fighters, so that one is not happening.
- Martinez, 160 champ and number 2 p4p, too big, pac wont fight above 150 in his career.
- Marquez deserves it the most, 135 champ, weight is a problem but he is willing to come up for a catchweight,a fight the fans want.
-Berto lost to ortiz, out of the picture at the moment
-Bradley currently looking to finish his contract with shaw, might go to toprank after that. current 140 champ with 2 belts.

Marquez makes the most sense in real options at the moment.
