I don't think he made a bad decision. I think he really didn't want to fight Pacquiao in the immediate rematch. I think he thought he'd lose because that fight surely took more out him than Pacquaio. Simply put, he ducked him. And it may have been smart on his part.

 

I really hope Marquez wins.

 

Or he could end up like Morales who was in so many wars that he stopped being the fighter he was prematurely. Depends on what you value more.

 

Pacquaio is a fighter that fights wars. Fight too many of those and you wear out. You'll see, Pacquiao is going to if he keeps this style. So JMM may not have wanted too many brawls back to back. Who knows....doesn't matter really.
