bradley winning was so bad that paddypower returned bettors money, the first time in offshore gambling history a book returned money on a bad decision.

    http://www.examiner.com/article/gambling-losses-justify-trial-for-pro-bradley-judges

also, bradley was presumably so far behind that in-fight betting had him a 100/1 dog going into the 12th round and a 200/1 dog before the decision being read.

    http://www.thefixisin.net/pacquiao.html

you are by far the biggest douchebag on this forum comparing paq/jmm to paq/bradley.

by the way, where are all these people on the esb forums that have lost lifetime ban bets that still post here?

Sure anything can happen, but 3 of the 4 were FOTY caliber, and the other one was alright. The last one was the best, and now there's the added intrigue of Pac being susceptible to KO. It's as close to a sure thing as it gets. Meanwhile, Bradley's best strategy is to engage as little as possible.

Sure but getting paid more than the rest for doing something does make you one. And that list contains most of the guys paid to write about boxing in the US, experts by definition. And at least for the more reputable publications, their job is to be objective. Unlike trainers, fighters, and esp ESB posters. You saw some of the ridiculous scorecards posted by Paulie on SHO, out of transparent self interest.

Pac didn't give him anything. Bob Arum did.

    And... **** Bob Arum.

    I thought JMM won the 1st 3

But Pac could have quite easily never fought JMM again & his legion of fans would have been happy with that

All I'm saying is Pac is a warrior for granting Marquez the rematches & I think Marquez will eventually oblige him the same

If not I'd be disappointed, the fight was close, technically the record still stands 2-1-1 Pacquiao

That's still assuming he's fighting primarily for the money at this point.. He made a lot of money, he KTFO his rival.. He seems content with that. Didn't he say he had to get $10 million for the 4th fight? That didn't happen and he still took it. I don't think the money is his main motivation, he wanted to show the world he was better than Pac without a doubt, and he did just that.

Again, that's thinking money is the main motivation. What if he wants to enhance his legacy by beating other current top opponents? Beating Pac again would do nothing to enhance it....

Actually everyone thought the 3rd fight was Pacquiao cherrypicking Marquez at welterweight since Marquez looked like ass there and struggled with Katsidis. Not sure how you get "warrior" out of that one.

It's prizefighting. You dont think he took 20 years worth of head punishment just out of pride? Regardless he said he's not retiring. If he wants to take risky fights for much less money, props to him, though it's bad management once again. He sure hasn't expressed any interest in those lately.

He was clearly in 3 controversial decision which most feel Marquez won.If manny had nothing to prove he wouldn't have had a ,2nd,3rd & fourth fight in the first place.:patsch You don't get a draw,1 pt split dec & lose 8-4 yet get awarded a lopsided dec,Get KO'd brutally in 6th & try to make a legit case pac clearly won .You can say he clearly declined tests numerous times & likely on roids but that's as clear as anything gets for pac.

    Not sure who "everyone" is

Marquez was still one of the best fighters in the game at the time, with his only loss to Mayweather leading into the 3rd fight

Read my post carefully, did I say just the 3rd fight? Don't think so. I said rematches! 2nd, 3rd & 4th included

Not sure why you wouldn't consider someone who fought Marquez 4 times a warrior?!

Marquez is long on the tooth. I just can't see him being up to another. Again, Bradley was injured. Bradley Boxed Pac. If Pac was what people said he was, Pac could have cut off that ring and went to work. It supports the assertion that Pac is a cherry picker and a general media fabrication.

No it doesn't. It makes you professional, not an expert. Knowledge and experience makes a person an expert. Paulie is an actual expert. What reputable publication has a Boxing writer? There are none. If you think writers don't have "self interest" you are fooling yourself. Same reason why we can't get a decent investigative report on anything these days, "journalists" protect access. Easiest way to do this is to not upset power players like Arum by telling the truth. Why is it you feel fine disagreeing with a well spoken active technical fighter, but want to swallow the line from a watcher of Boxing? Dan Rafael and Brian Kenny over Paulie? Please. It is baffling.

I think this is nonsense. He couldn't beat Manny until manny declined, and then he beats him and doesn't give Manny the chance he was given several times. Manny still has the edge because Manny beat him when both were young..

Excellent from Marquez, totally the right decision by him.

    I applaud his stance.

I have yet to see Manny beat Marquez, despite having the advantage of being 5 years younger in every bout they had.

Boxing journalism has really gone to the shits "Juan Manuel Marquez Cheating Boxing Fans by Denying 5th Pacquiao Fight"... For ****s sake Marquez ass raped Pacquiao what more closure could you possibly want? Go out on top Juan and take a lesson from history... never listen to the media. RIP Louis and Frazier
