[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmrKtaM36L4[/ame] This is a good interview. I like Manny's attitude after the fight. Also good to see Manny and Marquez getting on. Also Manny said it here. Marquez Vs Manny in Mexico next. Make it Happen.
I suppose it's good he isn't too down, but I hope if a rematch is inevitable, he comes in with more fire and knocks Tim the **** out. Golpe A Golpe doesn't pull back the punches though: "do you think this compensated for the fight against Marquez in November?" Luckily for Pac, Marquez is a true sportsman and doesn't see this as vindication for the judges.
problem with a rematch. I think Tim has the ability to box like he did last couple of rounds and w in a close decision in a boring fight. Manny' problem is, he's amazing if you fight him toe to toe in a war. But no one wants to fight manny toe to toe, and he's not very good at closing the distance.
Wow Marquez-Pacquiao IV in Mexico would be insane, I hope Pac will have left TR by then Good to hear the truth from JMM, he had the fight 8-4 (so did I)
True. This was most apparent in the middle rounds. Timmy went toe to toe and got seriously hurt. He (and I) probably thought that we was tough, young and strong enough to keep up and maybe beat Pac in his own game but found out the hard way that no one beats Pac in that kind of a fight. Pac will always have problems with fighters moving backward and I can definitely see Timmy winning the rematch if he sticks to what he did in the latter rounds. That will suck balls though, the middle rounds were exciting as hell and much more entertaining and I'd rather watch a fight like that.
i bet alot of people do. In fact his stock will increase with boxing fans. People were hating on him for the Marquez decision, and his attitude in the last 18 months. The way he performed combined with how he has been after the fight. I love the way he taped Bradley on the shoulder to congradulate him in the Max kellerman interview, and seemed genuinely happy for him. He showed he disagreed with the decision naturally, but took nothing away from Bradley. He's been World Class
Great interview, props to the Golpe a Golpes team and Manny. Also, WTF with the translator asking his own questions?
Pac's response to the results is a bit weird though... I would hope that the results would further motivate Pac in the rematch, that it would rekindle the fire that seemed lacking in his past few fights. But he's so at peace with the results that I'm starting to think it won't really change his approach his to the rematch. Not like Pac-Morales II where he seemed motivated as hell to win the rematch.
