The fans can underestimate Marquez all they want, they aren't fighting Marquez, Mayweather is. It won't change the reality that a great smaller man won't be at his best to beat a great bigger man, there are always of course a few exceptions. Mayweather has been disciplined and dedicated to the sport for many, many years, I don't expect him to be anything but prepared for this fight. As much as fans want to justify this mismatch, it doesn't change the reality of what it is. Although, no one knows how Marquez will perform at 140+ lbs, from analyzing recent performances at 135lbs, I can say that he did not look or perform any better and actually looked worse than he did at his native fight weight. Therefore, I believe it is safe to assume that due he will be less than 100%, and will perform likely less or as good as he did at 135lbs... I don't think that is good enough to beat Mayweather, unless he comes in with extreme rust, but it is unlikely.

So? Diaz and Mayweather have completely different styles. I don't expect Mayweather to start the fight guns blazing or at any point get as reckless as Diaz was.

Pacquiao remains #1 if Marquez wins but putting Marquez as #1 can't be argued with at all. That's why a third fight MUST and WILL happen if he wins. Marquez confirms again in this interview that his move is to get a third fight with Pac as he openly said it by claiming promoters put Mayweather in his way in an attempt to block that. Marquez seems way into this fight for anyone to consider him a tune up.
