Curious. Marquez vs Naz. Marquez is a slow starter and gets caught a lot. A Naz assault could end the fight immediately. I can't remember how far back Marquez was rated #1 under him, but could he have had enough to beat Naz after losing a fight with Norwood. The excuse for the loss to Norwood was he was still green. Wast this before or after he was rated #1 underneath Naz?

 

Exactly his resmue is not on the level of his talent. Pacquiao, Morales, and Barrera have had better carrers to this point. You are right it is similar to the way Hopkins has done it. A champion for years but never faced that big name opponent til later in their carrers and it picked up from there. I hope Marquez has enough left in the tank to really stamp his mark in the history books.

 

Sasakul was the WBC & Lineal champ at the time who defeated an ATG FlyW. He was beating a very green Pac before the KO came along. Ledwaba was considered by most experts as top 15 p4p at the time, considered the man of the division with larios, a masterful boxer who was absolutely destroyed by Pac.

Whats there to laugh about? They've certainly achieve more than the likes of Juarez.

 

i called JMM & pac beating Juan Diaz back when they were still 130, most of you guys were like weight this, weight that. Pac would have obliterated Juan Diaz...with juan Diaz lack of defense he would have been KO'd pretty darn quick had he fought pac. And you must seriously lack some serious boxing analysing skills if you think Juarez stand a good chance at all of beating Pac, I give you John but Juarez? Hahaha, the slow plodder who cant seem to close in would get destroyed from mid range.

erik morales, with poor defenst but a pressure like style beat manny, now a young hungry juan IMO beats manny.....

juan completely whooped marquez in some rounds, which till this date manny has failed to do...sure he dropped him, but there were no rounds where manny completely dominated marquez....

I picked every single one of those fights against your mexican boys correct, so go with me on this one when I say, Pac obliterates Diaz. Diaz walks into Pac's left hand which puts him on the floor. Inside, Pac has the faster fists and hits harder, Juan has nothing to offer.

 

Rusbbish, pressure is what he tried with MAB & Chi. Outboxing is what he did with pac. He watched JMM-Pac 7 times to try emulate JMM in outboxing Pac. In the 2nd fight, he tried going toe-toe with pac and pac destroys him, heck he went toe-toe on the 12th round first fight and Pac wobbles him. Where is this pressure BS coming from...?

 

Well you can't really dominate anyone in a round more than Manny dominated Marquez in the first round they ever fought so I gotta disagree with you there.

I wouldn't disagree with you that Juan would give Manny angles but I really can't think of any fight that Diaz has fought where he dealt with the kind of pressure that manny brings except maybe Katsidis but manny is on a whole different level than katsidis
