Marquez is getting sh!t for fighting Morales, why does Cotto get a free pass fighting

Im not giving **** to Marquez. Dude has been in hard fights. Throw him a easy one.
Cotto has always done the same many times.
Khan getting a easy fight next too.

Booster fights are welcomed after brutal fights to me. They make for great knock outs ala DLH/Mayorga, Cotto/Gomez etc.

 

Because Cotto is fighting in a tune up fight to prepare to fight Margarito who has basically the same style as Mayorga? :huh

 

But lets be realistic, Mayorga still has something left in the tank even though he's past his prime way more then way way way over the hill shot Morales does.

 

They are both **** fights to be honest!

 

Cotto came off of a tough loss. He needs tune ups. No shame in that.

 

I don't think Cotto vs Mayorga is really a sh$t fight at all. Lets not forget that Mayorga gave Mosley hell in that fight until Mosley luckly ko Mayorga in 10 seconds before the 12th round is over in which before that, the fight was very very close. And we all still don't know if Cotto will do well at junior middleweight. Yea he tko Foreman but that was his first fight at junior middleweight and thanks to Foreman knee injury, it gave Cotto an advantage to tko Foreman.

 

Because JMM didnt get beat by Pac. Its basically a bunch of *******s hating on it. Now that JMM also took a money fight they're mad. only Pac can take those. Had Cotto beaten Pac he would have received the same criticism.

 

C'mon man... Cotto can fight who he wants, he's earned it, but he doesn't need a whole extra camp to train for Tony's extra tricky gameplan.

It's not a bad point, but I think people are balking because JMM has talked big about wanting legit big fights, and then dusts off Morales who was literally retired for a couple of years, and he is pushing it off at us as a big fight. Mayorga never retired formally that I know of, plus after Pacquiao (and Margo) I think we all kind of understand that Cotto needs to ease back into another potential war.

But overall, JMM is getting a little too much crap for this one.

 

I think Cotto does need a tune up fight to prepare for a fighter that tko him in the first fight.



Mayorga is not as done as Morales is in which shows this thread is pointless.
