That's why it's good to keep a tight circle. I can guarantee that Freddie and Alex Ariza just about hate each other, yet Pac keeps Alex on the payroll. Why is that? It's funny that whenever Ariza threatens to go public with some sort of bombshell, he shuts right the **** up after a little while. It's almost like that's how he negotiates his contracts.
While Marquez was going through hell to beat ****in' Juan Diaz, Manny was destroying the likes of Hatton and Cotto. Hell no, Pacquiao is better. I also don't believe Marquez is better H2H, of course he is the opponent who gave Pacquiao more trouble, but, at their best Pacquiao still won (second and first fight), albeit close fights.
Same concept chum. Roy got KTFO by Tarver after his prime was over and beat Roy in the rubber match. Doesn't take away the fact Roy has a superior résumé and beat Tarver before. Marquez is obviously better than Tarver, but beating Manny himself doesn't give Marquez all of Manny's achievements by proxy.
PAC had the benefit of great promotion with the machine of Top Rank & HBO pumping his fights & feeding him quality opponents. (W/The money to make big name fights) Juan had to build his rep the hard way beating & fighting opponents in their home towns & on their terms or limits. If this discussion is a matter of "Who can do better things inside the ring", IQ, Punch variation, Whatever else is possible to do in the ring besides awkward off balance right hander trying to be a southpaw type **** then YES. IMO, Juan is greater than Manny. H2H or otherwise. However you score the Vs. fights is up to you. (But the WAR was won by KTFO6)
I kinda agree with most of this, but you are also being a tad harsh on manny, least we forget the uproar when manny was selected by DLH as his next sacrifice to the HBO $$$$ guzzler! Manny should'nt even be fighting at 147, so lets give credit where credit is due, he's been a marval & great for us fans. With regard to Juan, least we forget that he was also a top rank boy, but opted to fight chris john which set him back a few years leaving him on the outside pissing in. I've always been a massive fan of Juan & i'm so pleased for him albeit at manny's expence. Yeh i'd say juan has won the war up till this point & if they fight again we'll definetly know that 1 of them ai'nt gonna see the end of the 12th round. History will be kind to Juan & at last he is now out of the shadow of MAB & ERIC & for me forms what should be called a modern day mexican "Triumphorate". Better boxer = Juan. Better resume & acheivements = Manny. Manny is now on such a level that even with 2 defeats back 2 back it'll not effect his standing 1 iota, just like DLH, ****, he lost all his major fights! Trinidad, Mosley, Hopkins, but it affected his standing in the eye of the public not a jot! Same goes for manny now! But if Juan were to lose a 5th fight to manny then he'll be vapourised from history & in 20 years time you'll get the new generation on here comparing the IV fight KO to juan being in the right place at the right time just like Rahman KO'd Lewis who was allegedly distracked by appearing in a Rocky movie. Be good for Juan to retire & live off this well deserved glory for the rest of his days. Manny's plane will still fly on just as DLH's did.
