Saying it does'nt make it true. You're going to have to explain why once a 21 year old flyweight weighed more than once a 21 year old featherweight? Marquez fight night weighed 148 lbs. Pacquiao fight night weighed 151 lbs. The the ex-flyweight weighs more carrying leaner mass, but its the featherweight who's pointed the finger at as a PED cheat????
It says they've been evenly matched, and says nothing about the rest of their resumes. Is that what you had in mind?
I don't feel the need to really. I'm a little tired, in bed, and back on my mobile. Some good points, but we just judge fighters differently. It's quite obvious that I and a few others are in the minority. I got respect for you, and sorry if I talk a little trash. That's just me. Maybe I can think hard about Marquez' top 3 outside of PAC, but I guess I'm a little thick headed myself to do so. That and quite drained. I appreciate your responses, and will watch this discussion with a close eye as I lie here playing video games and watching torrents. Tonight I will give you a proper response to your quote, I think I owe you that. BobDigi would like to leave the floor open to others, and let this discussion continue for as long as it has to :good
Voted for JMM but after reading through this thread and some well reasoned arguments am willing to concede a small edge to the Pacman. For me it comes down to Pac's best wins (prime Barrera and Morales IMO) trump JMM's (I have him 3 of 4 over PACMAN). To be clear, both are great in my book. I do, however, find the desperate accusations being tossed around by obvious *******ed fanbois to be as amusing as they are hypocritical.
It's The General, and it's been so long. Slowly reminded to either play the game or gtfo :!: Poll results are climbing, and if this is how Pac's career ends then these events will back my case. It's just very hard to rank Pacman with an exact number after he was devasted. Same goes for placing RJJ, which gets harder and harder as he continues, but I don't believe I'm as Boxing savy as I once was. Just the other day I found it hard giving predictions for 13' as I know dick outside of daily headlines.
You see this is the problem in the way we rank Great Fighters.... Fans like you wanna harp on and on about their accomplishments, instead of the looking at the big picture. Both wins and losses are to be taken into account, instead of skimming through a fighter's record![/QUOTE] Um... isn't harping on about accomplishments all about looking at the big picture and taking everything into account? Do you consider basing a fighter's greatness on just one very significant loss/win "looking at the big picture"?
Your as good as your last fight. Marquez just put Pac to sleep --- out ****ing cold. I'd say that answers the question.
Right, unless you're Roy Jones, Holyfield, Morales, Hamed, Mosley, Ali or 99% of the fighters out there.
I often do. Underrated win. The guy is solid. I favor him to beat Garcia. Definitely sad how little of a mention he gets. The man was brilliant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xLilFNcXIM
