FFS Marquez is a ledgend every time a figher looses suddenly his past wins are less significant or they were'nt as good as some say, Marquez is 40 years old for christ sake, and Bradley is an elite fighter, JMM was fighting at 147 not exactly his prime weight, it amazes me how one or 2 defeats suddenly a guy is overrated and not all that, listen JMM goes down as a ledgend of the sport no argument the guy is the 3rd best fighter of this era after Mayweather and Pacquiao

You don't honestly think Pacquiao won that 3rd fight, i mean ffs everyone say that JMM won that, also there is no such thing as a lucky punch, punches are thrown to be landed and with skill, JMM threw a punch intending to KO Pacquiao it wasn't luck that he managed, it was skill, no such thing as lucky punches

That's as dumb as it can get. Every punches is thrown with the intent to land but not all punches land. Marquez fought PAC over 40rds before he landed that punch. And he only landed because their foot got tangled in the first place = lucky punch .

He was very good but never at Floyd level. Tim made him look look like an amateur at times

Some serious idiots on here. How can anyone say Marquez is overrated?! Behind Floyd and Pac he is the best of his generation.

He loses to a 2 Division World Champ, at 147lb, who is 10yrs younger than him and suddenly he's overrated. Wow.

Beside Floyd and Bradley I had Marquez winning all of his other defeats, even though close.

Nothing but a Pac specialist? Give over.

He's a great fighter, now at 40 years of age still fighting the best out there. Guys who show a bit of movement, he does struggle with... but that's a trait of being Mexican!

It was a lucky punch....Before the KO, Pacquiao was schooling Marquez.

from HBO........ in Marquez's case it obscured the fact he was being badly beaten statistically. The final numbers last December revealed that not only had Pacquiao out-landed Marquez 94-52 overall, 26-11 in jabs and 68-41 in power shots, he had scored his own knockdown of Marquez in round five and was the far more accurate puncher (37%-21% overall, 24%-11% jabs and 46%-27% power).

Pacquiao's 46% accuracy on his power shots is a particularly troubling sign for a fighter who, in his prime, was a defensively-oriented ring scientist. That said, his supporters can say that his troubles on defense may be due more to Pacquiao's greatness than any erosion on Marquez's part, for while Pacquiao also landed 43% of his power shots in their third fight, Sergiy Fedchenko (24%), Likar Ramos (0%), Michael Katsidis (32%) and Juan Diaz in their rematch (30%) didn't enjoy the same success.

Every round Marquez MAY HAVE ONE in their fights are rounds they could have possibly went either way. The closet fight was the 1st fight, not the 2nd or 3rd. Marquez only sits back and waits to counter Pacquiao. He didn't win 1 fight to me, the judges agree and so do the HBO commentators and judges.

HAHAHA gtfoh, Pac was schooling Marquez? are you kidding, Marquez was landing to the body if you didn't notice, that's the reason why Pac didn't just go for the kill, because Marquez was fighting back, it's a myth that ignorant biased Pac fanatics like to bring up that Pac qas "destroying" Marquez, right before he got knock the **** out, Marquez had already dropped Pac, it was a matter of time until he knocked him down again or put his ass to sleep like he did, Marquez was going for the kill, he wasn't trying to go 12 rounds.

Shows how ****in ignorant people are when it comes to Boxing.

Once Marquez kocked out Pacquiao all of the sudden Pac was overrated and wasn't ****, overlooking his great wins and great battles from 122 to 147.

Now 40 year old Marquez looses in a competitive fight at 147, 4 divisions above his carrer division, and now he is overrated and nothing but a Pac specialist. Completely overlooking his great career at 126, his campaign at 130, 135, and 147. Talking about his close loses (which he arguably won) as if he was completely outclassed. ha

Casual Boxing fans are pathetic, bunch of biased low self esteem humans, who will defend their beloved countryman or favorite Boxer and put down other Great Boxers, as if their accomplishments raised their pathetic self esteem, work on your own accomplishments and quit hanging on to Boxer's accomplishments as if you had anything to do with them, we're just spectators, quit falling in love with this fighter or this other fighter.
