IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin to fight Golden Boy fighter Saul “Canelo” Alvarez as a way for them to swerve around the fight with the Kazakhstan fighter.

Marquez doesn’t see it as a serious offer from Golden Boy, as he feels that a serious offer would be for Golovkin to be given a percentage offer of 30-40 percent of the revenue rather than a flat fee of $10 million for the fight, which is only a fraction of what the fight would likely bring in on HBO pay-per-view. Marquez sees Golden Boy’s offer as a way message that says, ‘We do not want the fight.’

“They are really punishing Gennady Golovkin, because it is a way to avoid Golovkin. It’s a way of saying ‘we do not want the fight. We’re going to pay so much. Would you accept it?”
It does sound like Golden Boy’s figure offer to Golovkiin was a way for them to tell him and his promoter at K2 to get lost and forget about Canelo. But the offer would appear to serve another purpose by giving Canelo and Golden Boy cover from the boxing public bygiving Canelo and Golden Boy cover from the boxing public by letting them know that they’re not the reason why the Golovkin fight isn’t taking place.

At this point, Golden Boy Promotions should rename themselves to Golden Pollo Promotions

As much a great fighter Marquez is, he is a jealous individual.

Somebody should ask Marquez what he made for his 2nd and third fights with Pacquiao.
They were miniscule amounts compared to what Pacquiao took home, and Marquez took those fights anyways, why would GGG not follow in those footsteps knowing Canelo has other options other than a Golovkin fight?

Golovkin should man up and just take whats offered if it means GBP will bail and bypass Golovkin for another matchup.

At first I thought that Oscar would be good for boxing, but now I have to understand that he is just another criminal promoter.............Oscar had a big chance to make a fight with Golovkin, but instead had his fighter "El Pollo" to give up the title instead of getting knocked out by Golovkin........Oscar does not want that fight, he is just trying to cover for his pet chicken...............
