Rafael Marquez is going to rest for the next 180-days to resolve a hairline fracture to his right shoulder blade. He returned to Mexico City on Tuesday after suffering a TKO loss within eight rounds to Juan Manuel Lopez last Saturday in Las Vegas. He is still angry with referee Tony Weeks for stopping the action in the fourth round, when Juanma was hurt. Weeks stopped the action to take a point away from Juanma for hitting Marquez on the break. Marquez thinks Juanma is a dirty fighter and says Israel Vazquez is the harder puncher between the two........................EXCUSES...EXCUSES.....EXCUSES........SORE LOSER!!!!!:|

    JuanMA beats Rafa 10/10 times.
He is simply put, The bigger younger fighter.
    (That's it)

he also complained in the vasquez fight, man just can't take defeat. why didn't he mention this after the fight when they were talking to them in the middle of the ring?

the funny thing is that they claim tony weeks saved juanma, but he didn't because you could clearly see he recovered before that foul, juanma was just in the moment to comeback with his own and got to anxious.

exactly i watched the fight again and JML had recovered already there was no way he was going down because of the initial assault. JML was the better fighter that night and sime people just cant accept it.

Lopez can just thank God he didnt fight a younger, primed, two armed Marquez.

An old, small, injured Rafael, whos had enough wars and damage done to him to shorten multiple careers, and who had fought 6 rounds in 2 freaking years, had Lopez's head on a damn swivel and put up more then a decent fight against this touted young champion.

Rafa has nothing to be ashamed of for this fight.

I get your point and youre right he put up a great fight, but to make excuses and to not give JML any props thats just pure garbage from Marquez. Whether he is old or whatever you could say that about any fighter whos up and coming fighting a past his prime excellent fighter, is just the way boxing is. Once again props to both guys on a great fight.

what experience does juanma have compared to rafa? Plus who has the better trainer?-Marquez. Who is the youngest and biggest?-Juanma. the more experience and better trainer out ways Juanma's advantage. This why I thought Marquez was going to win. Juanma has the tools, but needs a better trainer, which I always said about prican fighters. So, considering all that I'm very proud of juanma.

I was watching a show about army snipers and the instructor said that evrytime he hears a soldier losing and starts to give excuses,it means,to him, that he is always trying to win,a competitive spirit. On the other hand evrytime i hear people coming with the right excuses, well there is really nothing to argue. Weeks did stop the fight when juanma was really hurt,im not trying to compare but it was the almost the same with corrales and the mouthpice, thos extra sec, between warnings and point taken away gave him time to recover...
I tend to agree with rafa..but thats just me..
