The Katsidis shot was a textbook short powerful hook. Just having seen Martinez knockout Williams a week earlier, I had my doubts as Marquez limped to the canvas on whether Marquez would even make an attempt to get up. ......but my goodness, he not only got up fine, but his legs were under him. Marquez legs were not on shaky ground the remainder of that round of which there was over 2 minutes left. ......Marquez then goes on to outfight Katsidis the remainder of that round. WOW!
If it's Pac in there, he would have sidestepped the moment he saw a Floyd's cocked arm and counterpunched him with a right hook -- a new Pac's punch in his arsenal which he used in Cotto and Margarito. Marquez would have a big problem with Pac's reinvented right and his ever reliable left straight and hook.
:nut lol... Watch this 1:12 after JMM got caught with a shot he did not see, the same left hook that always catches him.. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVStmLCoH30[/ame] PAC comes at him hits him in the CHIN twice with full force, and one to Marquez's left temple, GLASS CHIN???? :blood It's the one's you don't see that get you down, ask PW.
lol you fool. It's his footwork that gets him into trouble sometimes. That's why when he has gone down he falls in that identical fashion. He might not have the greatest chin out there, but glass is way off.
I don't think his right hand has improved as much as people are making it out to be. He's landing it more easily due to the style of fighters he's faced since JMM. As for the Pacquiao-Mayweather analysis, you have some genius insight there. I'm sure Mayweather will adapt the same strategy with Pac as he did JMM. Never mind circumstances, styles, and openings. Same applies to Pacquiao. Does ESB come with L-plates for posters like that
I think Pac would've finished him in the second fight if it wasn't so late in the round. It looks like he was hurt when he got back up, unlike the other ones. That's the one that hurt the most. The other KDs look like flash KDs.
In the PAC JMM fight part 2. The commentators, say this fight should be interesiting JMM was able to get a draw vs a one handed PAC and now PACQUIAO 4 years later he is a different fighter that has developed a right hand... and what is the outcome? Controversial SD win by 2 points. :nut Now 3 years later, PACQUIAO is not a "one dimensional" fighter anymore, and has developed his right hand ten fold...yup...againt his right hand, these *******S claim, another 3 years and he is a whole new monster again. LOL :nut I wonder what the outcome will be this time.. I do know, JMM has increased his accuracy, Uppercuts, and specially working the body every round which has contributed to the KO's of DIAz and KAT We shall see...:bbb
you claim that jmm has also improved in the two years since the 2nd pac fight w/ pac? then why is it that the punch that pac KD'd him in that fight, a left hook was also the very same punch he got KD'd with by both mayweather and his most recent opponent, katsidis? seems to me that his defense still hasn't improved that much since the second pac fight. he still drops his right guard when he throws his left hook. it's probably already an involuntary bad habit on jmm's part. pac, mayweather and even katsidis were able to explot this by throwing well-timed left hooks to KD him. pac should be able to exploit this again in a third fight and maybe this time even deliver a more powerful crushing left hook like in the hatton fight. but like you said, we shall see.
cause in all instances, he was in the process of throwing a left hook when he gets tagged with a left hook to the chin.
