This fight is a mismatch. JMM is a good fighter, but he has no business at 147. When he fought Pacquaio at 130, Manny was drained, since then he has moved up to a more comfortable weight at 140. JMM isn't large at 135, he comes in at 140 on fight night, and will be seriously outsized at 147. Nevermind that Castillo that Floyd faced at 135 is better than Marquez at 135. This fight won't be close, it is a shame HBO blew its wad on this one.

ok, fair points all. oscar didn't ever land an exact peach, but i would say if floyd can handle a half power shot from a 154lber known to have knockout power, then he can handle a blown up lightweight who hits him flush. Marquez does have great accuracy and timing but Floyd's defence is also tighter than a virgin's you know what. Combined with his reach and height advantage I don't see Marquez having an easy time finding the target.

If Marquez and Floyd were the same size then this really would be a good matchup

I don't think so. We looked to have bulked up. He come at about 150 by fight night and he is definitely not in total fighting shape as of this point.
