Norwood was very smart, leaning to his left and jabbing JMMs right hand to take it out of the fight.

Great work Luf. Im unbiased and Ill say if Jmm lost he lost, but as close as those 2 fights were your right. Plain and simple Jmm got robbed. Even the Pacman fights were closer, but theres no argument to give the victories to Norwood or John they know they lost. I like the Norwood fight in particular Jmm at his best his speed and power was top knotch. Credit to Norwood too even tho he didnt win that fight he was still a hell of a fighter at least for a short time.

The john fight is a decent fight so i'd recommend anyone to watch it but I don't see how it can be scored against juan. He fights a great fight and deserved the victory definitely.

The norwood fight was even more of a robbery, juan quite clearly won the majority of rounds. This wasn't a good fight tho, norwood's style did not mesh well against juan.

    I had him beating John.

Losing to Norwood(havent seen it since it happened) and didnt bothered to watch it again cause it was really an awful fight.

As for the Pac fights i have Pac winning the first and losing the second.

I was going to watch this fight a while ago but I only got as far as the first round as the only version that I could find was this one and there's no graphic for the time. I'll try again.

EDIT: Round 2, and what pops up midway through the round?

It was a terrible fight I agree, norwood is one of the least fan friendly fighters i've seen in action.

Yeah i'll hopefully be watching them two again today.

Any info on that first dq loss? Was it legitimate or bogus?

Never saw the fight and i dont think its available.

According to source he was DQ'd cause of an headbutt.

Good scores. I think john deserved the 11th and marquez deserved the 4th but I think marquez definitely won.

The norwood fight was clear for me and I think it's a flat out robbery. No way in hell scoring round by round can a valid argument be made he did enough. I don't care what any punch stats say about accuracy, he was outclassed imo. I remember when I was a newbie on here and i'd read once that marquez got schooled by norwood so I reitterated the opinion but nothing could be further from the truth. Horrible fight but it really is obvious who won.

Norwood did nail Marquez with some really good left hands but they were infrequent throughout the entire course of the fight and his offense was largely limited to initiating clinches.

My only real complaint concerning the John fight were the two point deductions late on.Whether the ref had previously warned Marquez is irrelevant, because neither punch was below the belt.

I can't remember which fight, but one time when the HBO commentators were introducing a young Juan Manuel Marquez before a fight, talking about his record and all that, they said that he was accustomed to the nature of the politics of the boxing business very early, when his first DQ loss came as a result of the doctor owning a piece of his opponent. I'm not sure which fight that was.

Sucks that he had to wait about a year after a spinal injury following that debut loss to get back into boxing. What an unlucky guy.

I remember some commentator saying that Norwood calls himself Lil Hagler but he fights like Lil Richard.

He really was awful to watch(at least in the fights ive seen of him he was).

Fully agree, I was watching some of his fights the other day and someone who fights so elusive, with so little activity and he doesn't even look that stylish and often looked clumsy.

I have no idea what those judges saw to put him above marquez in that fight.
