This is what I am predicting, the reasons being I have heard Hatton and his team mention it as a possible fight 2 or 3 times and I think there was even a rumour on here that they were in talks for a possible showdown in March? Both parties do seem very keen on it. Now I thought It was obvious that Hatton was going to fight the winner of DLH-Pac but what I suspect now is that if Pacquiao does lose which I think he will and Ring move him down the pound for pound rankings, replacing him with Marquez at number 1, then Hatton will jump at the chance of "becoming the best pound for pound fighter in the world" as he loves to try convincing everyone that this is what would happen, which is nonesense. We all know you don't win the pound for pound title like another Ring belt. Then if he gets past Marquez it adds hype to the mega money fight with Oscar. So will Ring Magazine make Marquez PFP #1? I wouldn't agree with it but it adds marketability to the Hatton fight. Would Hatton risk the chance of fluffing the mega money fight with Oscar? Would Oscar dare take on the winner of Cotto-Margarito 2 in the mean while? I'd be interested in hearing your opinions. :good
Marquez is too small for Hatton at 140,don't understand why he would go there when there are plenty of fights at 135
Not for making as much money or for adding to his legacy if he wins. Who would turn down an opportunity like that? Its the exact reasons why De La Hoya-Pacquiao is happening.
the chance to be the first mexican fighter to win world titles in 4 different weights,oh yeah&the money.:good
n i love your avatar pic :good if hattons takes this fight and wins it will become iconic in british boxing history, imagine if they fight say in mexico city, or london you will have fans climbing to the roofs if this is promoted right, people would talk about it for years. if marquez wins he becomes a mexican legend, only good things i see for this fight
Hatton has little chance of winning against Pac or Marquez. Theyre both too slick. Pac has the ability to KO Hatton, and Marquez, as long as he avoids close quarters combat, has the ability to win a wide, wide UD.
:good cheers.i like yours too, that was my avatar earlier this year.:good i agree totally, this would be awesome at wembley or azteca stadium, although it'd more likely happen in vegas,it'd be an unbelievable fight imo,i hope it happens!.
These may turn out to be more equal fights but sometimes there needs to be more than that to get me excited and I think if you're honest with yourself, we are all the same. No one in Hatton's position would take that fight and the other guys havn't done enough to earn it anyway. I'd be much more excited about Marquez versus Hatton, surely seeing these 2 big names, massive in their own country, who are exciting fighters and not shot, take part in a fight that could add to both fighters legacy's gets you excited? The odds would be closer too than Hatton against Kotelnik or the other guy who I've never even heard of. I think Hatton wins but the gains for Marquez could be massive!
Hatton might be too strong for Marquez at 140 I think. Let's be honest, Marquez could probably still make 130. At 140 he will feel Hatton's power. However, Marquez will find figuring Hatton out easier than Pacman. I'd rather see Pacman beat DLH, fight Hatton, and Marquez/Diaz winner fight the winner of that.
