I'm not one to sit and think about where I rate fighters in a p4p sense, but currently I'd probably rate Pac somewhere between 5th and 10th, imo there are quite a few fighters who are just better overall fighters than Pac.......


......but if Pac were to beat JMM, I'd most likely have in in the top 3, and if he were to dominate JMM, personally I'd rate Pac at #2 but very close to Mayweather Jr.

Neither fighter imo can surpass Mayweather Jr. who is in his prime and fighting at the top of his game!

Yeah, sure, ok, because you don't agree with their p4p choice, it MUST be a conspiracy. Give me a break. Marquez is not that crazy a choice. He has a draw against the number 2 guy, he beat Barrera who was still on most p4p lists at the time, he was probably deserving of the nod against John, and his beatdown of Juarez was impressive. I'm not exactly sure where I would rank JMM p4p (those lists are fairly pointless), but I don't think #3 is unreasonable.

If he was ranked #7 or #10, or not ranked at all, people would complain. I think some people just like complaining for the joy of it.

If JMM were to beat Pac in any fashion, he is easily #2. He is about 5-7th for me right now. It cannot be denied that a win over the then top 10 p4p MAB and no.2 Pac is greater achievement than what any other fighter(outside Floyd & Hopkins) has done in their entire career yet alone the last year.

Does JMM deserve to be in the P4P? Yes.

When he lost to Chris John, he was out of the top 10 P4P rating. When he beat JMM. He came back in the top 10.

Should JMM be at #3?

His fans say yes. Even though their the same age(JMM a few months older), MAB has had many wars. JMM beat an older boxing age MAB. Even though JMM won many rounds in the fight, fans, critics, and analysts believed that the score was a lot closer. And some also believed that MAB won.

Here is what I don't understand from the Pacfans. JMM can be argued as being P4P #3. It's debatable, not ludicrous. I don't think he is that high, but he is certainly a P4P type fighter. The lot of you are arguing hardcore that he shouldn't be that high using such arguments as "What has he ever done?" "His biggest claim to fame is a fake draw with Pac" etc. You DO realize that you are diminishing a potentai win?

 

What are saying? Should they hype JMM to be better than they think he is just to make Pac look better? That's what Calzaghe fans do.
