i don't agree nobody at the time thought barrera was going to go on and do what he has done, he lost to junior jones and was on the comeback trail showing good skills against lower guys doesn't make you a master boxer doing it againt guys like morlaes and hamed does though,
also two trainers and his stupid training campo have to show you something, the big fight and the little prince docu easily shows this up

Watch it from start to finish, Salud was a good fighter and he got out-classed and dismantled. Barrera never looked better.

Okay, don't watch the clip. You keep thinking Hamed was past his best days, despite being only 27 and not having been in many wars. Don't think Barrera had already shown the ability to put on a boxing clinic. :good

Throw in the crucial point that the best fighter Hamed fought other than Barrera was Bungu and this was also the finest performance all-round of his career - coming years after Ingle had left his camp and not long before the Barrera fight. Myth obliterated.

styles make fights though don't they and you honestly think having two trainers and his joke of a camp meant he was in prime shape for what would be the hardest fight of his life then your as deluded as chj. Naz was rich as **** by this point didn't care about boxing apart from thinking he was invincable and he could ko anyone, he was wellw rong and got what he deserved.

What didn't Hamed do in the Barrera fight to indicate to you that he was past his best? Because when Tyson fought Douglas, there was rarely head movement, a common theme of a prime Tyson that would destroy his opponents. Tyson rarely showed vulnerability prior to the Douglas fight, and he had fought better opposition already destroyed them. Hamed has shown many vunerabilities against the likes of Sanchez and Kelley, and Barrera was the best fighter he ever fought, and he got man handled.

i am not saying he was past his physical peak there is a difference, tyson had a joke of a corner in the douglas fight, hamed had a joke of a camp and didn't care about boxing if you can't see that :huh

You think the Hamed of the Kelley fight beats 2001's version of Marco Antonio Barrera?

no, but don't know if having a desire to box and training right might have made more of a difference as to be fair people call the barrera fight a big win/beat dwon but he didn't beat him by that much.

I thought Barrera dominated the fight. Lederman's scorecard, not too surprisingly, was bull****. Barrera won by at least 4 points on my card, and that was being nice to the Prince. I think when the final bell ended, everybody knew they just sure one man completely out boxed over 12 rounds. Naz knew it himself.

i agree but the way some peeople talk about the fight it was a beating and a 12 round shutout which certainly wasn't the case, he never hurt naz just outboxed him.
