Here is an undisputed evidence that Marquez lost to Pac. It came from Marquez himself:

You might not agree with the decision but it certainly wasn't a robbery. Robberys only exist when a fighter clearly wins but doesn't get the decision. I had Pac winning by a point but if Marquez had got the decision i wouldn't moan about it.

I think were the controvesy lies in this fight is in the difference between how the rounds were won and the overall look of the fight.

For me the Rounds that Marquez won were a lot more clear cut than the rounds that Pac won. From what i remember a lot of the rounds i scored for Marquez i was pretty confident that he won them. Some of the rounds Pac won i felt he just nicked. So if we forget about the knock down for now and look at the fight as a whole i would probably say that Marquez was the better fighter and should have won. However, boxing isn't judged on looking at the fight as a whole and picking a winner. It is judged on scoring each round individually then tallying the scores to find a winner. Because of this and because of the knock down i had Pac winning by a point.

JMM gets a lot of respect based on his close fights with PAC....Fights that he lost, but still JMM is a very respected boxer with or with out PAC.

How about you post the article you hating piece of ****.

"I beat a very good fighter in Diaz, but I still think I can take it to another level. I won't think I am the best until I beat Manny Pacquiao. Thats still a thorn in my side and I want more than anything to have my arm raised after a fight with Pacquiao. That's what I think will satisfy me. Manny Pacquiao is still on my mind. I've accomplished so much in my career that I 'm somewhat satisfied, but I think I was robbed the first two Pacquiao fights. I want to be free and clear of that Pacquiao thorn." -Juan Manuel Marquez

This is the best analysis of the fight I have ever read. When I watched the fight on PPV, I really felt like JMM won the fight. And based on this, scorecards aside, I realize why I felt that way. I knew it was close but I thought JMM won by a point. What's funny is that I didn't feel the first fight was competetive after the knockdowns. I thought Pac won rounds 1,2, and 10. I scored it 114-111 JMM. At worst it's 113-112 JMM. I have no idea how anyone thinks PAC won more than 4 rounds of the first fight.

The quote speaks for itself. He admitted he has not beaten Pacquiao yet.
