JMM is just amping himself up and trying to save a bit of face. He knows that PAC hasn't been avoiding him and that he was the one not willing to take a rematch.

I loved how PAC came back saying "It was a mistake of one of the judges which allowed you to hold on to your titles" :rofl

Either way its a rematch that has been well worth the wait. Both men have got to come prepared if they want to win, but I know PAC is going to win this one by KO or UD. I see PAC winning in similar fashion as he dominated MAB last time....If JMM comes aggressive it will end in KO.

 

:rofl Maybe the first fight with MAB which was his only fight, but he was GIVEN a draw in his fight with PAC which means PAC...(in reality) won...but due to an incopetent judge and a mathematical error held on to his titles.

 

This is one of the greatest boxing myths in the history of the sport! JMM did show that he was a superior boxer than PAC but he falied to show that he's is a superior FIGHTER! He didn't win the next 11 rounds after the 1st. he won most but PAC won some middle rounds and was able to get the "W". the only reason he didn't get the "W" was b/c of the dumb judge who scored the 1st round 10-7

 

You didn't see the fight then!atsch JMM no doubt had the more demenisions and skills but he didn't win the next 11 or 10 rounds. JMM won most of the middle rounds mounting a nice comeback but started to loose much of the later rounds. the fight was close but PAC won...LEGITIMATLEY! But was screwed with a bogus Draw!

 

As I've said in my post, that adage doesn't apply here because we're talking about the same two fighters who fought in a lower weight category. The relative power of a lower-weight fighter may decrease when measured against a natural in a higher weight class, but in this rematch we're talking of the same two fighters who both climbed a weight division. The question to be answered by both fighters is whose attributes managed to gain more with the added poundage, Marquez' chin outstripping the absolute power increase in Pac's fists, and vice versa?

 

Why after Pac made excuses about moving up to fight Diaz because he was having trouble making weight....why do you think that they chose to fight JMM at 130 lbs, when JMM left it up to them to decide on the weight?????

Just dont give me this bogasity of fighting for JMM's titles at 130 lbs.....Pac never much cared to fight for titles because he did'nt want to pay the sanctioning fees!

.....under your theory, you'd think that Pac would have more of a power advantage fighting at 135 lbs!

The truth is that as you move up in weight, a fighters mass ables him to absorb more power.
Many fighters move up in weight and dont take their punch with them.
Essentially they're punching with the same force that they were in their previous division, but since they're punching at a bigger mass, they're punch is being aborbed better and not having the same effect that it had in the previous weight class.


To be more clear.....it may be that Pac and maybe even JMM is'nt punching any harder than they did at 126 lbs......and if thats the case, both fighters are going to absorb the others shots better in that the same power that was used at 126 lbs is now being absorbed by a fighter 4 lbs heavier.

......this scenario will usually benefit the skilled fighter, because while Pac may not be increasing his power to compensate for the weight climb, the skills usually will not leave the boxer in his weight climb!

Again, a fighter climbing up in weight will usually lose speed, and its likely that their power wont have the same effect punching at a bigger mass.
Power and speed is likely to diminish, but the skills are likely to be with you in any weight you travel.
Mayweather Jr. is the perfect example of my theory. A fighter that relies on speed and power is unlikely to be as dominant with each weight climb.
But as Mayweather Jr has shown us, skills carry up with you where ever you go!:deal

 

Marquez is a very good fighter, will be an interesting fight.

 

Don't tell me that pbf and jmm is alike skill-wise; pbf is more of a defensive specialist, though in fairness of jmm, i think jmm throws better combinations than pbf, only pbf is a defensive specialist that he can nullify jmm's skills and may surely beat jmm. For example, i yet to see pbf throw great uppercuts in either hands, have great hooks like jmm to the head and body, and throws it in killer combinations. Pbf's facet is speed, boxing skills, and defense. Though for me i credit jmm better on the boxing skills, call it absurd if you want.
But the real score why pac wanted to fight jmm in 130pnds. is because of unfinished business which is exactly to the match monicker! What better way to prove the better man is to take away jmm's belt which is in 130 pnds which pac failed in the featherweight's (the wba and ibf); if you are thinking in pac's shoes. Beat jmm in his crown is a good way to defeat your foe in a better fashion just to prove who's better, it's like enbarssing one in his own turf. That would also increase pac's bankable name and give him the belts. That is a more rewarding way than to fight in 135 pnds.
Pac, i bet, does'nt mind the fight to happen in 135pnds. coz he have plans for lw so what's to lose when he's planning to jump there anyway?? Also he just wanted to fight jmm in a divison where he is tried and tested aside from the belts. In contrary to what you said, now that the trend of filipinos having world titles, would'nt be nice for pac to at least catch up? Since he is regarded as the number1 here in the phi? It's personal pride and national pride too, it will be a shame if he don't have one (that he can also add to his legacy) when condes, donaire, and nietes have one each???
