If you knew anything about boxing you wouldn't be using compubox to back your claim. Name one meaningful punch pacquiao landed on marquez.I'll wait.....

Compubox is an excellent tool to use when judging close fights. I watch a fight and score it for my self then ill compare my score to statistical data (copmubox) to see where my observations stand. I think it gives you different view into the fight.

I am neither a big fan of jmm, pac or floyd im just a boxing fan and i enjoy all thee guys fights.

I have absolutely no biased towards any of them and ive been into boxing for over 24 years and all i can say is jmm won that fight by at least 2 rounds.

You could see it in the face of pac and his corner, come on jmm won pac again got the decision draw a line everyone knows who really won.

    Max kellerman is a bellend.

Oh right so the most memorable punches landed by Marquez, great, This is boxing and not a photo album.

I gave the fight to Marquez but could see why the judges gave it to Pac, he did throw and landmore.

I suggest everyone go back and watch the fight, and completly ignore everything marquez threw and score the fight, youd probably have Pacquaio winning, now do the same with Marquez, youd have Marquez winning. now both together and you can see why the judges had a hard time scoring this fight.

    Either man winning is understandable.

And I think the fact that pac didnt steam roll MArquez like previous opponents kind of made me score for Marquez cos I was subconciously basing my scoring on what I know Pac is capable of doing compared to what is actually happening, which is looking less impressive than usual. But boxing is not scored like that. It is scored objectively and round by round, and I can understand why Pac won.

From ring side the judges saw a Marquez backing up and landing good counter pot shots but a Pacquiao that was pressing and throwing and landing more. Unfortunately for Marquez fans judges preferred the style of Pac. There is no robbery here.

Are you denying that the majority of boxing fans around the world who take time out of their day to discuss boxing whether it be on twitter, youtube, blogs, forums, internet e.t.c are claiming that pac won that fight?

Even pac two stable mates linares and khan scored it for marquez.

It was a close fight with many swing rounds.

If you like counter punching retreating style of a challenger you went with Marq.
If you like the agression the workrate and control of the center of the ring you got for champion PAC.

    simple.

These stats are irrelevant to the way boxing is scored. In Boxing EACH round is scored on its own merit, not the fight as a whole. Scoring is either.10 points for each boxer if the round is a draw. 10-9 if one boxer wins the round. 10-8 if there is a knock down or total dominance in a round. The compubox are a guide to the overall fight and not a guide to the scoring system.

Well Khan said on his commentary for the fight that JMM won.
You should have watched it, your opinions on the fight would carry more weight.

Compubox stats & the words coming out of Bob Arum's mouth both have about the same substance & truth.

Watch the fight in slo-mo, and show me how Pac landed 30% of his punches, I dare you. Show me him landing even 20%, and I'll buy you a new car.

Then count all the punches JMM landed (the ones that caused all those loud thudding sounds.) Pick ANY round, then look at the compubox numbers. If the real number isn't at LEAST twice the compubox number, IN ANY ROUND, I'll buy you a new house.

If you're too lazy to do this, then **** off.

If you're too blind to see the obvious truth, then **** off.

Well according to that logic, Marquez should have won the 1st and 2nd fight bc he landed more punches. Marquez beat Manny hands down Saturday night.

Not quite since he kissed the canvas 4 times in their two previous fights so you can't compare with saturday's fight which the closest fight out of the trilogy and could have gone either way.

Can't believe some peoples opinions on here. Pac CLEARLY lost the fight. Im a Pac fan, but end of the fight it was close but CLEAR. Marquez definately won the fight, no questions. I had him 2/3 rounds up.

Padc had to chase the fight at the end but just couldn't break Marquez down. Juans countering was a a thing of beauty and personally Im disgusted he didn't get the nod. Just shows whats terrible about boxing. Two people boxing and in 2011 we still can'yt give the right man the nod.
