Mate take yourrose tinted glasses off rewatch the fight without hbo comentary on and i dare you to come back and say the same atsch I have no agenda here im not a ***** or ******* or anything, i saw jmm exact a perfect plan beat pac to the punch and basicly win the fight. You can walk forward all night but he was missing punches and get hamerred with counter punches. Jmm landed most of the quality shots just look at pac and his corner at the end of the fight it speaks volumes mate. I an understand you a big pac fan and he is a grewat fighter but honestly no way did he win that fight. The compubox figures are so wrong, on the british feed amir khan had jmm winning and was all up for fighting him until the announcement of the result. I bet all the pac fans couldn't believe the gimme he got given, i wonder if mayweather will fight him now as he looked **** the other night. Walking forward means nothing if you arent landing effective shots and are getting countered. The thing is the whole world really knows who won the ight and the ramblings of a few nut swingers isn't going t change public opinion.
I've watched the fight 3 times, and the numbers seem off to me. Either way on a round to round basis JMM won, he landed the cleaner harder shots IMO.
All CompuBox is is quantified, fallible human judgments (I mean you know it's not an actual computer counting up the punches, right?). I too can make my own fallible judgments quantified by awarding rounds to fighters on a 10-point must system. Neither of these things however has any claim to being an objective fact on the basis of being quantified alone.
So marquez the counter-puncher whos winning rounds and in turn the fight (in what around 80-90% of peoples minds up untill the 8-9th) should change up his plan and go after pac ?
Those compubox numbers are done by people pushing buttons on a machine. If the judges and commentators can be bought. Why can't they??
I've posted this article in several threads where people are just mindlessly citing the numbers, still no response: http://thecruelestsport.com/2010/12/13/the-10th-round-an-overview-or-why-compubox-is-useless/
Paulies punches were more obvious but I think Diaz won the round clearly.....but ur counting kinda skewed it too bro...
He's not even getting into who won the round though, he was simply focusing on Diaz's punches alone and revealing how far off the mark CompuBox was.
i cant read that to its conclusion its just a terrible article, i dint get the the relevant point if there was one
