total punches scored is irrelevant - its not how many its how you land them and when you land them - those stats are a terrible idicator because this isnt amateur boxing - in pro fighting each round stands on its own - pac could've landed the majority of punches in 4 or 5 rounds - losing the other 8 or 7.

the clearest indicator was the reaction of pacman and his people - i was in australia also, in a melbourne pub full of pinoys and they were silent - even when the robbery was announced half didnt cheer

also regardless of what Nacho was saying before the last two rounds JMM didnt run - this wasn't oscar v tito - jmm stuck to the game plan and won at least one of those rounds.

its plain and simple what happen - floyd vs Pac happened. too much money involved for bob arum not to make sure he'd picked judges that would reward aggression over accuracy, power over precision, and total punches over tactical brilliance

This is hilarious cause the first 2 fights Was a Loss and Draw for JMM and there was a huge dispute, now that they had their Third fight and JMM lost again and once again a huge dispute, people stop blaming boxing .. Was hoping he'd have a parting shot to HBO and the judges that included genitalia.

Maybe even herman cain-ing Kellerman (who to his credit was the only one giving Marquez credit during the fight)

 

Rewatch the fight, take a pen and count the landing punches of both fighters. You will find out that it will be pretty even with a slight advantage to Pac. When you do that and put all emotions aside, you will find out this is a close fight and calling it a robbery doesn't make sense at all.

 

Had money on Pac but that does not change the fact Marquez won this.
Was a close but clear 116 - 114 for me.... only way to give this to Pac is to give him all the close rounds.
I sorta expected that to happen but it still does not make it right.

Im guessing they will never give Marquez a fair shake, maybe he needs to lose vs Maywather first (although i think he will beat Mayweather on styles) so the pressure is of making a megafight can they give Marquez a decision.

I feel bad for Marquez. He was robbed no doubt about it.

Pacquiao has NO chance against Mayweather, judging from their fights with JMM.

I hope Pac May happens next year. I am sure Mayweather schools Pac worse than Marquez did
