I think I had Marquez up by 3, it was weird though. I watch the fight and it seems as if Marquez landed way more, then they show the punch stats and somehow Pac has landed more than Marquez, so I might be wrong about Marquez winning.
116-113 Pacquiao, and I am a fan of both. I am not some obsessed "*******". I scored this close fight fairly and do believe that Manny was in fact the rightful winner. I am actually quite surprised at the outcry for Marquez, but again, it was close.
At the very best for Pacquiao I had it 115-114 for Marquez, really I'd say it was 116-113. HBO commentary was MAD biased though. Every punch Manny threw was 'oh Pacquiao'. He didn't really land with power more than a couple of times whereas Marquez DRILLED Pacquiao multiple times with hard rights, left uppercuts and jabs. This is good though. Floyd and Pac may now fight. If I was Floyd I would be salivating at the prospect of fighting Pacquiao - all Marquez had to do was counter and step back out of range of Pacquiao's wirlwind blows. If you walk to him - like his last opponents - he will destroy you no matter how big you are, if you stand your ground but take smart steps backwards just out of range to counter, Manny doesn't really know what to do. When Mosley ran Pacquiao had no answer, when Marquez and Morales stepped just out of range and came back and countered, Manny had no answer. He is GREAT fighter but the style to beat him hasn't changed. Winnable fight for Floyd. For 70 million dollars? Yes please.
