Juan Manuel Marquez has apparently priced himself out of a fight with pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao, according to Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach. Marquez had requested a 50-50 purse split.

Roach said there was no way they would agree to that and went on to say in an article at malaya.com.ph, that “Marquez is in need to fight Manny yet he demands a purse split”.

Jesus Christ......first Arum said Marquez was pricing himself out by demanding the exact purse he made vs Mayweather......

....then a week later Arum changes his story and is telling the media Marquez wanted double what he made for Mayweather.......

.....now Roach is saying that Marquez is pricing himself out by demanding a 50/50 split......

I see a correlation here between this Pac/Marquez negotiation, and the past Pac/Mayweather negotiations.

.......the same in both negotiation, every week the Pacquiao side changes its story.:-(

......give it another week and Pacquiao will be saying Marquez was asking for better than a 50% split.

How even the *******s can take Pacquiao seriously when it comes to truth telling is beyond reasonable comprehension.

Good man Marquez stick with your own division. Soto in Mexico next is a nice fight in the 135 division.

Yet when Roach says something like "Mosley is too good" and "We want Mosley to be tested", Roach is the truth and start bashing Pac right away :good

Right. When Roach says something that will put a negative impact on Pac, Roach is telling the truth. If roach says something against Pac's opponent, Roach is **** talking. People on here decides whether Roach / Arum is lying and that dpends on their agenda.

Funny how people believe some quotes yet disregard others to suit their agenda isn't it?

Mosley bragged about his deal with arum a few days after margarito bout, marquez was never in the picture if there was not the money bob arum would have used something else, thats why I hate him.

Link or STFU. (actual working link right to article - not the BS site name you posted)

Everything to date has said that Marquez asked for $5 Mill (Including Arum).

Anything more than 65/35 or more than the PBF fight is more than in my opinion IF Top Rank is promoting it.

If JMM is willing to promote it using his company, thus his liability, I would just give Pac a flat fee guarantee and let him get the rest.

This means if he REALLY thinks he is worth that much, he gets it. IF he thinks Arum is wrong and he is worth it, he should do it.

But honestly, since GBP is unwilling to do it, pretty sure JMM will not do it. He knows. Everyone in the business side of boxing knows - he is not a guaranteed 1 million PPV buys.

Which is sad because he is a joy to watch. A technical joy. Unfortunately, skills does not always pay the bills.
