Marquez's claim is that the contract states that Bradley will be tested by VADA and he will be tested by VADA. Once again however, there is nothing to connect the ongoing lack of testing from Top Rank with that particular demand, nor does that indicate he's actively refusing contractual testing.

Further, given the fact that VADA's own steroid cheat adviser has an ongoing feud with Marquez's current coach and a clear conflict of interest, I don't think it exactly raises a red flag for Marquez to not want to be tested by that organization in the pre-contract phase.

No the basis of this thread is the fact that Top Rank has failed to arrange testing with NEITHER USADA NOR VADA, and this ongoing lack of testing is Bradley's actual gripe. You cannot logically connect that lack of testing to Marquez's disinterest in VADA given the fact that Top Rank offered their own independent reasons for not using either.

Why would they have different contracts ??

You have a really good imagination Ill give you that, making up scenarios in order to try and make Marquez out to be in the right.

Do you think both fighters are always present in a room and sign on the dotted line one after the other???

Did I not say this guy was 16?

Uh cause that's what Marquez himself said in the interview I linked on the previous page.
It's quite clear your mind's completely made up on this issue and you're bound and determined to turn a feud quite clearly between Bradley and his promoter into a matter of Marquez's unquestionable guilt by any means necessary, despite no evidence connecting the two.

I just listened to a 30 minute interview with Tim Bradley on the Leave it in the Ring podcast the other day and he seemed more pissed off with Marquez than anyone else.According to him he stated before they even started talks that he wanted both Vada and Usada testing and he was told that Marquez agreed, now he has been told something different. Now wether its his promotors fault or Marquez's is another story.Maybe Marquez did agree and changed his tune when he realised he needed to start his cycles or maybe Arum just told Bradley that to keep him happy.

I have my suspicions and you have yours.

So lets just call a spade a spade.

At least you know how to have a a decent debate on the matter without throwing insults around like that other guy.

I hope this leads to an eventual split with Bradley and Top Rank. (I'd still like to see him fight Marquez.)

If he were to split from Bob Arum, you know he'd get a shot at Mayweather. Although I don't think Bradley could beat 'Money,' I'm sure he'd be interested in that check.

If he's scared of extra testing or more stringent testing, he's most likely doping. That's how it is. This just reminds me that doping control in pro sports is a joke.

I just want Marquez to come out and say, "Test me for whatever, with whatever organization you want. I don't give a f*ck!" That's all I want to hear.

If it's in the contract, it's in the contract. I doubt Tim Bradley would be making all this noise, if he didn't have a signed contract stating that those organizations would both be doing the testing.

    Just do it, Arum!

lol, I know right... it's common sense. The idea of 2 different contracts, or 1 fighter using USADA, while the other using Vada, seems ludicrous. I hope it gets resolved soon, should be a great fight. I hope Bradley sticks to his guns as well on this.

You having been paying attention to Victor Conte's involvement with VADA could be a concern and a conflict of interest on the Marquez side as Heredia was one of the main witnesses against him that landed him in jail.

Dont think for a second Conte might not want payback, thus why Marquez preffering that USADA do the testing.

That issue right there is perfect grounds for Marquez to turn down VADA testing.
