Marquez Says It Was Pac Who Asked For 144

Obviously it was Pac who asked for the fight at 144.

JMM would have asked for 135. But he is in no position.

 

who cares now, this topic has been discussed many times.... it's irrelevant now the fight is at 144... not the perfect place to meet at but at least we get the fight.

@ Nonito JMM's ideal weight he was asking for was 141-142 as he knew 140 would not even be considered he was trying to at least ask for something reasonable but he didn't get it and was happy with at least 144.

People should be happy that Pac at least agreed to drop it below 147. Everybody says how disgusted they are with catchweights... People give Pac so much crap for wanting Cotto to drop 2 pounds to 145 (and in Cotto's previous fight with Clottey he weighed 146...So he had to drop 1 pound)!
Yet...Jmm steps up to fight Pac, a WW champ, and people complain Pac won't give in more. At least he gave in to 144, and unlike Mayweather I bet he agreed to 144, and actually makes it. He doesn't step on it and it says 146

JMM should just be happy that Pac will honor the 144 and according to reports, he's getting a lot more than 3.2 mil.

 

so someone did not honor the 144 catchweight and was paid only 3.2M against that someone? isn't jmm getting a cool $5M now and can win a WW title for a fight at 144?

144 limit vs Mayweather, 144 limit vs Pac. Fair enough. It's JMM fault for not staying in the 140,147 division. If JMM wanted this fight so badly he should have acclimated to the weight division with more fights. It's not Pac's fault JMM went back down to 135.

 

Lmao @ some knuckle heads thought Marquez ask for 144 pound catchweight. This is pacquiao whos fought 2 catchweights fights and this fight will be his 3rd catchweight.
