Its not pacquiao fault? lol if thats the case then pac shouldnt fight marquez in the first place at 144 pound. But pac loves catchweights since he's 2-0 and is about to be 3-0 by beating marquez.

so this fight should be at the full 147 limit for the WW title?

jmm could have fought khan at 140 when it was offered to him and be more relevant at weights higher than 135. but fair that he bypassed a morales fight at 140 for a chance of a pac fight at WW.

Pac is a Welter now and doesn't want to go up and down to much at his age.
This is a great fight for fans. JMM had his chances twice w/ Pac below 140 so now time to fight at Pac's best. WAR Mexicutioner

so pacquiao now has a control over jmm's decision to come back at 135? what the dude was saying is that jmm could have made himself relevant at 140/147 if he decided to stay there after the floyd fight and fought guys like khan, maidana, bradley or alexander instead of katsidis and juan diaz.

Juan Manuel Marquez wants Pacquiao trilogy at 143-144

    By Mark Vester
WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez (51-5-1, 37 KOs) continues to ask for something that he probably won't receive in the near future. As quoted by Ricardo Lois of the examiner, Marquez appeared on ESPN’s Golpe a Golpe and said that he was willing to face Manny Pacquiao at a catch weight between 140 and 147-pounds. Marquez would like a catch-weight of 143 or 144-pounds.
“First Pacquiao would have to accept, but I would fight him at a catch-weight of 143 or 144 pounds” Marquez said.
Marquez has a defense of his titles coming up on November 27 against Michael Katsidis in Las Vegas. Pacquiao moves up to junior middleweight to fight Antonio Margarito at Cowboys Stadium on November 13.
Strange to see Marquez suggest a catch-weight of 143 or 144. After he was dominated last year by Floyd Mayweather Jr., Marquez complained several times about moving up to welterweight to face Mayweather at a catch-weight of 143. He said the weight was too heavy for him and caused him to be too sluggish. It won't get any lighter against Pacquiao.

    :huh:huh

No at 140 pound limit to make it a fair fight but thats not the case for pacquiao since he loves catchweights.

why is 140 fair more than 144 or 147? they are naturally the same size and would be weighing the same come fight night. the only thing 140 could do is have the chance to make pac drained. so they should have made the fight at 147 then since you think catchweight is the culprit.

Pac has control with his drawing power to dictake his terms in which this will be his 3rd fight at a bs catchweights. Pac won't fight at the weight limit vs a real better threat opponent. This is the truth in which obviously since u love pacquiao that u wont agree.

How can it make pac drain if he weighs up too 148 pounds on fight night? Its bs to say the least. And it doesnt make sense. Even philla who loves pacquiao to death even thinks pac can make 140 pounds easily. Pac can easily make 140 pounds without even drain. Its just he loves catchweights to his advantage. Pac is the catchweight king.

listen, you are not bright with following details and would just constantly yap about catchweights. the dude you quoted says that if jmm really wants the pac fight, he could have acclimatized at 140/147 by staying at the weight instead of going back at 135. now that he got the pacquiao fight, jmm is now saying that he might be too small at the weight which he could have prevented if he fought at 140. there was a khan offer just last year but he instead chose to fight katisidis at 135.

pacquiao would not be forced to yo-yo up and down the weight especially if he is settled at WW and there is prospect of a huge fight against floyd at the same weight.

They should have contracted the fight for heavyweight to allow the fighters to come in at whatever they feel is their optimum fighting condition.

Well, when you think about it, 144 is essentially doing just that.

so whats the difference if the limit is at 147 then if he would weigh 144 and be 148 on fight night? i didn't say he would be surely drained but it would have a chance that he would be drained.

The difference is marquez already fought over 140 pounds vs floyd and marquez didnt win a round in which shows marquez dont belong there. Im tired of ppl saying marquez and pac will be close to the same weight on fight night. Do u know how many times a fighter beats a fighter that had a 8 or 10 + weight advantage on fight night? There were so many i lost count. In the weigh in a day before the fight is what really matters to see how the fighters look if they drain or not.

yes you are tired of hearing that they would be the same weight at fight night since they actually are true. pacquiao and jmm are naturally the same size and it's just that pac is doing amazing things at WW.

of course, fight night weight does matter as much as the weigh-in. if jmm thinks that weighing above 140 would slow him down, then don't. weigh-in at 138/140 and rehydrate to 145. that way he would retain his speed. he knows very well in the first place that pac is now campaigning at WW.

If fight night weigh in matters then pacquiao should have ko marquez in the rematch at 130 pounds when he weigh in at 147 pounds on fight night but instead he won a very very close fight in which ringside thought marquez won. Morales had like 14 pounds weight advantage over barrera on fight night in the rubber match but instead barrera win it clearly. Weigh in a day before the fight is what really really matters.
